Phoenix

I felt okay with him here. I felt okay with his arms around me. I felt okay with him laying beside me. I just felt okay with this.

"Sam?" I called, he turned his head towards me. "do you even love Mandi?" I asked, he sighed.

"I don't love her, I liked her in the beginning, and now she's too annoying, and clingy. She's always depending on someone to take care of her." He replied, I nodded. "why did you wanna know?" He asked, I shrugged.

"I just wanted to know." I replied, he nodded. Really I just wanted to know if he actually likes me. He seemed like he did, but I could be wrong. Maybe he didn't just want me for sex. Maybe he actually wanted a relationship.

"Are you sure? Because if it's a different reason I won't judge you." I shook my head.

"No, I just wanted to ask." I replied, he nodded, I started laughing.

"Still want me to tutor you?" I asked, he nodded smiling.

"Of course, Princess," I smiled slightly, maybe I could trust him with the secret, but I promised Ty I wouldn't. Maybe I can tell Amaria myself? He did say he'd understand if I did. "hey, princess," He snapped his fingers. "are you okay?" I nodded.

"Yeah, I'm fine." I answered, he nodded holding me closer than before. His lips met my forehead leaving a soft kiss.

"Where's your bathroom?" He asked, I pointed to the hallway.

"Last room." He nodded smiling.

"Thanks, Princess." He stood up and walked down the hallway. His phone kept going off, I ignored it until he came back. He sat on my bed again.

"Your phone kept going off." I replied, he picked up the phone laying it back down with a shrug.

"Not important." I nodded and stared up at the ceiling. A question wandering through my head.

"Sam," I called, he hummed in response. "If you don't love Mandi, then why are you still with her?" He sighed.

"Look, Phoenix, deep down I still love Mandi, but then again I don't. Its complicated, y'know." I just nodded.

"I'm sorry, but I have to go. I'll see you tomorrow." I just nodded as Sam walked out of my room. I rolled over on my side. How is he gonna tell me he doesn't love her anymore, and then say he does.

I don't trust people anymore. And guys like him is the reason why. I rolled on my back again, the front door opening the two voices of my mom and Damon. They came up in my room.

"Phoenix," I sat up looking at her. "You can go back to school on monday, Amanda's fine, but you're still grounded." I just nodded and laid back down.

"Okay." I simply said, she crossed her arms and looked at me.

"What's wrong?" She asked, I looked at her again.

"I'm just tired." I replied, she nodded.

"Oh, well Dinner will be done in a few minutes. Damon's staying." I just nodded again, she silently walked away as I laid in bed. I felt tired, from my bored ness.

I woke up in the middle of the night. I laid awake in the middle of the my bed. Not seeming tired, as small memories of Riley and I came to mind. I felt a tear drip down, as I remembered my screams echoing.

I felt another tear slip down, as I remembered the feeling of his hands holding my wrist above my head. The warmth of his fingers trailing down my stomach, as chills ran down my spine.

I flinched at the thought of his hand making contact with my skin. I felt the four scars down my arm from when he scratched me. I sighed and got up to use the bathroom.

I looked in my mother's bedroom to see her snuggled up to my mother, the way he held her made me wonder if I could find someone to do this. But I never would, because they're all fuckboys.

I used the bathroom and went back in my bedroom, turning on my tv and clicking netflix. I started watching old episodes of Orange Is The New Black. It was one of my favorite shows.

I snuggled up in my blanket and watched to season two. Until it was eight, I clicked off the tv and went back to sleep. I woke up again around three. Knocking at my front door.

I groaned and walked downstairs opening the door to Sam. He brought food and drinks, he then looked down at me and smirked.

"Hmm, are you offering it to me?" He asked sarcastically, I looked down to see I didn't have pants on. I looked back up at him shrugging.

"Not in the mood, just come on." He nodded and walked in behind me. And I knew he was staring at my ass. I rolled my eyes and walked into my bedroom, climbing in under my blanket.

Sam sat on my bed, laying down all the stuff and handing me a drink. I nodded a thank you and took it from him. Taking a sip and watched as he pulled out his homework.

"When are you coming back? Class is boring without you." I looked down at the homework.

"Monday." I replied without looking up, Sam took his finger and lifted my chin up.

"What's wrong, Princess?" I jerked my head away.

"Don't touch me." I said sharply, taking my anger out on him. He looked at me again.

"What I do?" I looked up at him.

"I don't want to be touched." I lied, well half lied. I don't want him touching me, he nodded and leaned down to look at the paper.

"So um, I don't really understand number six." I looked at the paper again, seeing how hard the problem looked but was actually easy.

15 x + 12 x =p

"Its actually easy if you look at it." I said, calming down a bit. He nodded and twisted his head, I turned the paper so he could see it. I grabbed the pencil from his hands and began writing down easy steps.

"So you start here." I said, watching as Sam looked up at me and smiled. I ignored it and continued to help with the problem. I began to line up the numbers and subtract them.

Sam looked down at the paper but for a majority of the time he looked at me and smiled. I finished the problem and watched as Sam did the next few problems by himself.

I smiled to myself, seeing that he's actually learning this.

"Good job, I'm sure you'll be ready for a upcoming test." I said, he smiled again.

"Thank you, Phoenix." He said, I just nodded.

"Just keep it up." He nodded and continued to finish the problems. I watched him as my chest began to heat up.
