Chapter 2: New girl?!

It's currently the end of the first semester. Yay! Half way done with school.

But a lot of things have happened...some for the worst, some for the best. I'd had broken up with Jake and now we barley talk...being truthful I miss him. Ethan and Jessica were as happy as ever and Robert had gotten a girl friend himself. Emma had found an amazing guy of her own and they were happy.

Another thing that had happened was I stopped sleeping. It's hard to sleep when your constantly fighting your mind. My grades were fine but I wasn't. The bullying had gotten worse and I was a mess.

I knew my friends were worried, I knew they noticed. They noticed everything, they way I became quieter, the way I started pulling my sleeves down, the way the dark circles started forming around my eyes. But they didn't say anything. They say and watched me get worse, because they were afraid to say anything.

My daily life started to rip me apart piece by piece. Slowly but surely. But that all changed. When one fateful day my chemistry teach annoyed we had a new kid joining our class.

"Class!" Yelled Mrs. Kosher. "Please welcome our new student Alex." With that a short girl with black hair walked in the room. She was beautiful. Pale skin and stunning green eyes. She had on a P!tad sweater and leggings. On her head she wore a flower crown. Honestly she was adorable.

"Alex, please take your seat next to Ella. Ella raise your hand." Order Mrs. Kosher.  I did as told and the girl did as well. I made small talk during class, since after all she was my lab partner.

Lunch time came and I noticed Alex was looking for a place to sit. I waved my hand and smiled  at her. "Need a place to sit? There's an open seat next to me." I offered. She gladly took the spot and began to eat. As the rest of my friends arrived they all too notice to the new girl. Each one said their hellos and began eating. Me on the other hand, I had started to draw.

I didn't realize what I was drawing till Emma started to giggle at me. "What?" I questioned. "Oh nothing, just noticing you're little doodle" I signed and looked down to see what she meant. "Oh god." I wishpered. I quickly hid my drawing as the rest of the table went to look at it. Alex stood up to throw away her trash.

"Looks like someone's crushing on the new girl." Said Jessica. I unintentionally blushed. "N-no I'm not!" I squeaked out and her. "Mhmm, then explain this." She said as she grabbed my sketch book revealing my drawing to the table. My drawing was of the new girl laying under a willow tree. "I uhh umm, that doesn't matter." I snatched my sketch book back and closed it.

Alex returned to the table. Robert being a smart ass grabbed an empty bottle and spun it on the table. "Lest play spin the bottle 21 questions." He said. The table murmured oks. The bottle landed on Alex. "Alex," Robert began. "Are you straight?" She blushed embarrassed at the question. "N-no, I'm not" she said shyly.

She grabbed the bottle and spun it. It landed on me. "Ella, what kind of things do you enjoy doing?" She asked me. "Well," I began. "I enjoy listening to music and starting at the stars."  Alex smiled and handed the bottle to me. But as my luck the lunch bell rang and we headed to class.

Alex had art with me and we talked. We exchanged numbers and went home.
