A beautiful to what could've been a horrible diaster

Don't ya just love those assholes who live to ruin your life? Yeah, me neither.

It's been about two months since Alex came to my school. She's still as cute as ever. We've become closer and that makes me happy. She's like my best friend, other than Emma that is. She's started hanging out with me, spending the night, going to the park, going to the mall. We've just been chill together.

All this makes me happy but a small part of me is telling myself I need to stop. I can't be falling in love with her, she probably doesn't even like me back. I'm just gonna get hurt.

Enough about this though into the swirling vortex that is my life.

It's lunch time and we( me, Alex,Emma,Jessica,Robert, and Ethan) are all sat at the table. We're just chatting when up comes little miss Zoe, or as I like to call her little miss makes me want to kill myself, she stands next to us listening for awhile when I call her out for it, " Can we help you?" I asked sarcastically. "They can't but you can..meet me in the court yard in five minutes or else I'll ruin your life, faggot" she responded.

I flinched slightly at the last word. She walked out towards the court yard. The table stared at me, " you'd better go see what she wants at least." Commented Robert. "Yeah, I guess I'd better." I sighed.

I went out to the court yard and sure enough there she was, standing there waiting for me. "What the hell do you want?" I spat out. "Easy there, I just need you to do something for me." She responded calmly...almost to calmly. "Like what?" "Oh it's nothing big, just take my PSAT test for me." She smirked. "W-WHAT?!? I can't do that" she laughed, "ok then do my homework for a month..I need better grades so I don't lose my phone."  "No, do it yourself you stupid bitch." I said. "She pushed me against a wall and got in my face. "You're gonna regret you said that faggot" she spat in my face.

She stalked off. I collected myself then returned to my table. I saw Zoe talking to Alex. I sat in my seat and Zoe looked at me and what she said next made my stomach drop. "Hey Ella why don't you tell Alex who you like?" She said in a hissing like voice. " Or better yet show her your sketch book ." "I-I-I..." I started out when Alex cut in. "She doesn't have to if she doesn't want to, Zoe." Zoe smirked and said " Well to save the trouble she likes you Alex, she sketches you and her together with hearts."

I went pale...like really pale. Why this? Why me? Why now? We were just becoming close, Zoe you asshole. I thought as I sat there a dead look in my eyes. Alex looked at me and she smiled, of all things she smiled. That's when it happened. Time seemed to slow as she leaned towards me and she KISSED me. She smiled sitting back up and said "Good, I like her too."

~Lel time skip~

It's been a week since the lunch incident. Zoe still hates me but that's normal, Alex and me are flirting but not yet dating, and all my friends are teasing me about it. I was gonna ask Alex out tonight. I was nervous. This had to go just right, I had all my friends helping me. I know her favorite things, and tonight they were all happening. There's a carnival in the next town over. Jessica's sister was taking all of my and my friends there. Alex's dad was bringing her later.

Things were in place, we had walked around for awhile. I won her a giant teddy bear she was so happy. The time had come. Me and her where on the Ferris wheel together and my friends were on the ground. They were all holding signs that together said Alex will you make me beary happy and be my girlfriend? ~Ella . Everything was ready, I had gotten the text saying its a go. Let me tell you, I'd never been more nervous in my life.

"Hey Alex, look down there. There are these adorable kids in matching out fits." I said and pointed to where my friends were. She looked over and noticed the signs. "Alex will you make me beary happy and be my girlfriend, Ella" she read aloud slowly. She read it again and then she realized what was happening. She lunged forward at me and hugged me so tight I couldn't feel my chest. "Yes yes yes I will, you beautiful dork.  She kissed me and it was magical.

We got off the Ferris wheel and all our friends gave us a big hug and said congrats. Things were finally starting to go better for me...
