No Gang?

I groan and rub my face. What a weird dream. I stretch and open my eyes. I look around the room and see my jacket and key lying on a desk. I get up off the bed and walk over to the mirror by the desk. I examine myself and sigh. Guess it wasn't a dream after all.

My black hair is pulled into a high ponytail. I pull it over my shoulder and examine my tips. The purple is fading. I need to re-dye them. My shirt is bunched up so you can see my belly button ring. I smile at the memory of going home to my brother yelling at me for being reckless. I look back at my face and see I still have my mask on. I slowly peel it off and see indents from sleeping with it on. I sigh and run my finger over them. I look at my scars and trace them. My eyes began to tear up at the memories. I have one scar an inch from my hair line, going down diagonally towards my eye, just missing it, ending at my cheekbone. I have another on my jaw line on the left side of my face. It starts right under my ear and curves with my jaw, stopping at the corner of my mouth. I have yet another by my hairline in the middle of my head. The last one-and the newest-is from one side of my face, across the bridge of my nose, to the other side.

I hear footsteps coming closer to the room I'm in and I quickly wipe my eyes and put the mask back on. I turn around and face the door when it opens. I come face-to-face with the one with the paper bag on his head. He walks towards me and sticks out his hand.

"I'm Nogla. I'm sorry we met in this situation but it's nice to meet you, even if your from our rival gang." My eyes widen at his accent but I reach and grab his hand and shake it.

"Wolf. Or Wolfy, as some people call me." I smile at him and I'm guessing he smiled too since his bag twitched a bit.

"Come on, the guys wanna introduce themselves and one wanted to apologize." I nodded and let him grab my arm and guide me out of the room and into the living room. When we got there, all of the guys were sitting on the couches and chair surrounding the TV. Nogla guided me to the coffee table and made me sit down on it.

"I'm Lui." The monkey with the cigar said. I smiled and looked at the next person.

"Mini."

"Delirious."

"Vanoss."

"You already know my name hah." Nogla awkwardly rubbed the back of his neck and chuckled. I chuckled and nodded.

"Basically."

"Moo." I furrowed my eyebrows a little at the strange name but nodded anyway.

"And I'm Wildcat. I want to apologize for yesterday. I didn't mean to hit you that hard that you passed out." I nodded and giggled at the irony of him wearing his own shirt announcing who he is. He gave me a confused look and I pointed to his shirt. He looked down and laughed.

"I know. Ironic, right?" I nodded and giggled more.

"You know, for someone who was kidnapped and is from our rival gang, your quite friendly." I looked down at my hands and shrugged.

"You haven't given me a reason to be rude so I won't be." Vanoss nodded and stood up.

"Follow me. If your gonna stay here, I wanna see how well you shoot." I jumped up, a little to quick, and got dizzy. I felt hands on my waist and saw Nogla standing there. I smiled at him and thanked him. I slowly followed behind the group to a makeshift shooting range.

"Since you were in The Hunte-"

"Were? What do you mean were? I still am." He looked between all of the members and reached in his pocket. He pulled out my phone and handed it to me.

"Look at your messages." I furrowed my eyebrows but did what he said. I unlocked my phone and clicked on the message app. I scrolled through the recents and saw ones not read. I clicked on them and saw they were from Duncan. They read,

10:38pm "Hey, I need to talk to you about something..."

10:57pm "Wolfy? You there?"

11:08pm "Hello? A?"

11:25pm "Answer me"

11:43pm "If you don't answer in at least an hour you're done."

12:16am "Answer me damnit."

12:39am "A, I swear to god I'm not kidding. If you don't answer by 1 your out."

12:57am "3 minutes left...you gonna answer?"

1:00am "It's official. You're out of the hunters. Have fun surviving on your own."

I gripped the phone harder with each text. I ran back into the room I slept in and looked through my jacket for the small package. Yes, I took it back from him. He just left it on the table so why not. I grabbed it out of the pocket and walked back towards the guys, still gripping my phone.

I walked in the room to see them all staring at me like I'm some crazed lunatic. I throw the package towards Wildcat and wait for reactions. His eyes widen when he catches the package. He looks over at Vanoss and hands it to him. He chuckles and looks at me. He nods and I nod back.

I look down at my phone in my hand and start taking my case off. Underneath the case, is money, a picture, and a key. Specifically, the key to The Hunters hideout. I grin to myself and hear mumbling. I look up at the guys see them all looking at me weirdly. I laugh and hold the key up.

"You know what this is?" They all look confused.

"A key?" Delirious answers. I nod.

"Yes, but it's a special key." I put emphasis on special. They get more confused which makes me laugh more.

"It's the key to The Hunters hideout. Whenever you are ready to, you can storm their place and kill them all." I hold the key out towards Moo, and he walks closer to collect it. Once he goes to grab it, I pull it back quickly.

"You can have it on one condition."

"And what would that be?" Vanoss asks. I'm guessing by now, he's the leader.

"I get to come with. Since none of you know where it is...I'll have to show you." The group looks at each other questioningly. Finally, Vanoss steps forward and holds out his hand.

"Deal". I grab his hand and shake it while smiling.
