Waking up to your mother yelling at you is always a joy.
I sat up and rubbed my eyes, focusing on her voice so I wouldn't have to ask her to repeat. She gets really pissed when she has to repeat herself.
"Dylan! It's 2:45 in the afternoon. You need to get out of bed!"
"Sorry Mum, I guess I stayed up later than I pictured again. I swear I set an alarm for 9 this morning."
I said this with little regret. I was talking to one of my internet friends last night. She lives in Egypt so our time zones are
completely different since I live in the U.S . I didn't mention that part to Mom though. I haven't told her I have internet friends yet, I kinda think she might over react and say their creeps and take my phone and laptop away.
"Well. Try not to let it happen again, we need to get groceries in a little bit so get up."
"Okay will do!"
I hopped out of bed and threw on my favorite T-shirt. It was a black And had the album cover for the indie band the Orwell's album Disgraceland.
I love the Orwell's. Actually I just really loved the sound of Indie music, I love how light it is and how I can just play it in the background while I scroll through my tumblr.
After I got dressed I started playing my morning playlist. I had a playlist for everything, when I was mad, sad, pissed (usually consisted of I hate everything about you by three days grace) and in love. I also make a playlist for my day, every day. I usually add a couple songs by an artist I've been suggested. Today's is Marina and The Diamonds.
I plugged in my headphones and walked out of my room. Twenty one Pilots holding on too you started playing. Whenever I'm not alone I have my headphones on the second to lowest setting so that I can hear and still be aware of my surroundings.
"Dylan eat something before we leave. Please."
"Fine."
I grabbed a granola bar and sat on the couch. I looked out the window. It's muggy today, one of those days where you just want to wrap yourself In a blanket and let your mind wander.
My song ended and Dancing Queen by Abba started playing. I know. My music taste is quite random, but hey it could be worse. It could just be only top 40 songs or kids bop.
I looked out the window admiring a pretty black bird that was on the telephone line until my mom told me we needed to leave.
