When we go home, I went straight to my bedroom. I needed to fill this application out perfectly if I wanted to get this job and be able to work with Kim.
Kim. Her gorgeous dark brown hair, I can just imagine the light curls that you just want to play with all day when she takes her hair out of the bun she has to where. She was so pale. Oh just so lovely.
I slid over to my computer in my rolling desk chair. I turned on the computer and plugged in my flash drive. I needed to get my in love playlist started.
This consisted with a lot of songs by the Paper Kites. My favorite was Bloom. The Paper Kites is another Indie band that's just so light and airy and all the lyrics are so meaning full.
Okay. Back to the application. What's first? Name. Okay well that's easy, Dylan Lieberman. Address, 545 Lamity Way. State, Oregon. Position Applying for? Oh shit. I thought they just assigned you a position, uhhhhh.
I went back to my computer and did a quick Google search of all the McDonalds positions. I decided to apply for front counter because that's what I thought Kim had.
I filled out the rest of my applications and then went to go get a snack.
I walked out into the kitchen, it was empty. I guess my brother Robby was at work. Robby is 23 but he's living with us until he can find a suitable apartment for him.
My sister Tommy was at her friends house. She's only 2 years older than me. So yep I'm the baby.
I poured myself a bowl of captain crunch and added milk. I walked back to my room and sat on my bed. I wonder if Kim would like me.
The last time I had any sort if relationship with a girl was a year ago, but does that really count? I mean a 14 year old middle school relationship, it's basically just holding hands and it brings up your popularity slightly. You get a kiss if your lucky. I never got a kiss though. Her name was Abby, she was pretty and sweet, but like I said. It was not a real relationship.
I wonder if Kim likes music as much as me.
I sigh while thinking about her. I'm such a love struck dork for someone who I barely know. I only had barely a 2 minute conversation with her. My music switches too We Don't Believe What's on Tv by twenty one pilots. I get back onto my computer and see I have 4 requests to review a few peoples new albums.
I have a music blog. As you can probably already tell I'm a huge music junky. I love indie but I will listen too anything that's not top 40 and is meaningful in its own way. One of the things I feature on my blog is a music review section where people submit their own music that they are producing or just got recently produced.
I write an update on my blog saying I'll review my next few requests in about an hour. I needed time to fully appreciate the music I'm going to be reviewing.
I finished my cereal. I got up and headed to the kitchen to go out my bowl in the sink. Instantly hungry again I grab an apple and decide to go walk around outside a little bit while I listen to this new music.
I have a software that lets the music people request me to review automatically download to my phone on a separate playlist.
I started the first song, it is called Nancy by a Band that calls themselves The Yacobs. They are new and this is there only single. It has a grunge vibe to it and kinda reminds me of Pearl Jam. I'll have to mention that in my review. That's the thing I like about reviewing, I can be as nice or as nasty as I want because these people asked for my criticism.
I began walking too the nearest park too my house. Well. It's not really a park, it's more of a gravel path way with some grassy bits. It has a bench and it's always quite there because no kids want to play there. Every once and a while I'll see someone playing with there with their dog. Most of the Time I just go there to chill on the bench and listen to the music I review.
The song ended and another started. This one had a completely new vibe. It was more techno, I have a feeling someone was just messing around with their Roland when they made this beat. Well, they have a good guitar riff. Oh wait? There is a girl singing, she is clearly a soprano, she's not really singing exact lyrics. She's singing melodies. It's beautiful.
I looked for the name and it's said MELH. I have no idea who MELH is, I have a feeling whoever MELH is, it's a single person producing this. The song name is, Your Own Rain.
The next song was a blur and kinda sounded like the artist was stealing little bits from other people's songs. I'll make sure to mention that in my review.
I got up to start walking home when the next song started playing. I froze. It was one of the most amazing things I have ever heard.
I girl with a very light breathy voice and a man with a screamo voice were in a whisper duet . It was so different, this girl sounded like she should have been singing an Ellie Goulding song but the lyrics to this song was so dark I felt like I needed to shine a light on it. The pain and angst I could hear in their voices. I loved it. It was so dark and beautiful.
I continued listening and continued walking home.
