Nightmare

Carnival..

CHAPTER 1

Nahima yawn for it's been hours since she left the school grounds. Today was the day that her class where going on their senior field trip. It was a two hour trip to go to some Carnival that was in the other side of the city. Everyone was excited for it was the Carnival. The greatest one ever to be invented. Nahima was no expectation for she has never been to one let alone a circus. To tell the truth she didn't want to go for she was a stay home person. Be in her cozy couch, with a TV and a Xbox One to play with. Or see anime which was cool too. But she surprise herself to wanting to go and sacrifice to make the damn four hour trip.

Once they arrive, the Carnival was fill with people. There was rides, a lot of colorful tents with one in the center that was really big. The biggest of them all. She stare awe never seeing a lot of weird people walking around. Not to mention some costumes were pretty awesome. She stop when she saw a random circle of bricks. Looking at the thing carefully it actually look like a well. The light tan girl look inside only seeing darkness.

"Whoa!" She exclaim only to have an echo. She scream when someone poke her side. Nahima look up seeing a guy with two horns on his head shaking his finger at her.

"Nah, Nah, you better be careful...we don't want you to fall!" The man said grinning then went back flipping away. Nahima just blink seeing that was really random. But she knew he had a point she sure didn't want to fall in there to her death.

"Nahima, the shows about to start!" Shouted her best friend Monica. The girl smile for seeing her then ran towards her. They chatter and ahead to the biggest tend in the whole carnival.

In the show it was like the circus but with more tricks and weird looking creature, as if they were from video games or movies. Nahima felt like it was all some sort of dream, and she wasn't even there watching. When the show ended, she and her friends decide to look around. They went to the rides, took picture even went to the house which was a bit wacky. One of her friends was saying how all of them house were creating illusions and wasn't real at all. Which cause the other to argue with him. Nahima felt someone bump into her making her glare at the rude person who was walking away quickly. She roll her eyes only to see that on the floor there was an envelope. Looking around no one seem to get it so she bend down and grab it. Looking at it there wasn't anything written in it but someone seem to look shiny.

Turing it she saw there was some sort of dark blue seal. She didn't recognize the marking making her wonder where it was from. Nahima bit her lips wondering if she should open it or not. Deciding it, she decide to open it but stop when she was grab by the arm.

"Nahima, try this weird game!" Monica exclaim.

"Which one?" She ask only for her friend to point in front.

Nahima grin seeing it was her type of game. It consist of a gun and targets. 'Simple enough.' She thought grinning. Looking at the prize she seem to like most of it. Making her mind she place the envelope into the her messenger bag then went to the stand.

"Fine, how much it cost?" She ask the guy on the stood. He only pop his bubblegum looking annoyed.

"$4." he reply in a very dull voice.

"Alright! See this master in action!" Nahima exclaim grabbing the plastic gun in her hand. The man just roll his eyes then scratch his ear which look like goat ears but that wasn't important. What was important was to get her prize on Sephiroth full size plush doll.

A bell ring was heard then the target start to move from side to side. Aiming she manage to hit all of them though her eyes widen when there start to be a dozen targets appearing randomly on the panel while fakes target appear as well. She was losing her focus till she manage to hit most of them. When time was up she slam the gun down exclaiming "That wasn't fair!"

"To bad...anyways you get this." The man said very dull fully giving her a plastic toy. She twitch her eyes seeing it was a blue wand with a very yellow star light on top of it.

"Really? A wand?" She ask annoyed.

"Got a problem...unless you want this?" the man ask bring out a suspicious looking goo thing in a jar. Nahima made a face and shook her head quickly deciding to go to another and place the wand in her messenger bag. In the other there was a small creature in a cage only for it to shriek each time a fat short man kept poking it with something. Nahima glare at the man and went towards him.

"Hey, leave the poor thing alone!" She snap angrily.

"Who are you the pet keeper?" The man sneer making her a bit confused but angry. When the man laugh and went the other way Nahima quickly went to the small cage where the small animal was. It was the most adorable thing she ever saw. It look like a chinchilla with it's round ears and big fluffy body. Making sure she wasn't being watch she open the gate and got the little thing out.

Just as she was about to go she heard the fat guy shout at her making her run away quickly. She was getting away only to trip making the creature on her hand fly up the ground into the ground. She cruse under her breathe and ran after it.

"Stupid Chinchilla!" She mutter while trying to inhale air. She saw it sitting on the brick of the well. She stop to get some air only to see it step close to the edge. "Damn it."

She ran quickly and grab it before it could dive in. She was panting for her lungs lacking oxygen while glaring at the creature. "You little rascal." She mutter making the thing make some sort of face.

Nahima was thinking that she was missing to much air for now the damn thing actually smile at her. Shaking her head she lean against the well trying to take a couple of breather not noticing that someone was behind her. She yelp when someone push her seeing that a lot of people where blocking her way and giving them their back to her.

"What the hell?" She exclaim only to feel something strange. Looking at the well, wind seem to be sucking inside it and threating to take her. She try to back away but it was becoming difficult for the crowd of people. Then someone shove her back rudely not wanting her to be near them, thus making her trip over the wall and get suck.

Her brown eyes widen in horror as she was now realizing she was falling. Releasing her arms she started to scream in pure terror.

Down, down, down the little girl went...sallow up into darkness.
