The Date

Ethan's Point of View

Tonight is my date with Brookelynne and I really don't want to mess this thing up. I mean, my first date with a very beautiful girl, if I messed it up, there probably wouldn't be a second date. I am not picking her up until about seven o'clock, so I have about five hours to get ready. Which is plenty of time, if you are a guy. If you are a girl on the other hand, it is a whole different story, trust me I know, I have a sister.

For our date tonight, I am planning on taking Brookelynne to one of my favorite pizza restaurants called the Brick Oven. I mean, I am not going to do anything too fancy because after all, it is just our first date. I just really hope that I am not going to mess up, because it is literally one of my biggest fears to mess up on a date with a very pretty girl.

Brookelynne's Point of View 

I am very excited because tonight is my first date with Ethan! I know that I have like five hours to get ready, which is plenty of time, but I just need something to do with my time or else I will just sit and stare at a clock all day. I took a shower then I went in my room and opened up my closet door. Hmm... What to wear, what to wear? I don't know where he is taking me, so I don't have any clue what to wear. Ugh. I would ask me, but he would probably just say that it is a surprise.

I decided to go for something that is dressy, but not too dressy, if you know what I mean. I grabbed a dress that is not too long, but not too short that is a dark purple color. When I put it on, I immediately knew that this was the perfect dress to wear tonight. I picked out some sandals that are kind of like flip flops, but they have a back on them. They were also not too dressy. 

For my makeup, I decided to go with a light brown eye shadow, mascara, a bit of blush, and a light pink lip gloss. I took one look in the mirror and I look perfect. Now for my hair, I lightly curled it and it looked perfect as well. 

I look at the time and it was four o'clock, that means that I have three more hours until Ethan comes to pick me up. Ugh, I am honestly the most impatient person on the planet. I guess I will probably just binge watch Fuller House on Netflix because to be honest, I am literally obsessed with that show.

Ethan's Point of View

It is now about five o'clock and I want to start to get ready, so I hopped in the shower. Then, I had to pick out something to wear. I grabbed my gray button down shirt and black dress pants. Next, I decided to just put a little bit of gel in my hair, so I could spike it up a little bit. When I was done, it was about 6:30, so I called Brooke and asked her if she was almost ready. She said that she was, so I got into my car and headed to her house.

I am so nervous right now and I don't think that I have ever been this nervous for something in my whole entire life. When I finally arrived at Brookelynne's house, I knocked on her front door. Oh my gosh, I can't believe that I am doing this. 

"Hey Ethan!" Brooke said as she answered the door and gave me a hug. "Are you ready to go?" I asked. "Yeah, let's go." She said heading to my car. "You look beautiful." I said in awe. "And you look pretty handsome yourself." She said with that cute little giggle of hers. "So where are you taking me?" "It's a surprise." "I knew that you were going to say that!" I just laughed.

When we arrived at the restaurant, we immediately got seated and ordered our drinks. Brookelynne ordered a lemonade and I ordered a water. When the waiter came back, we ordered our pizza, a medium cheese pizza. I ordered cheese because I knew that cheese was her favorite. 

When the food had arrived, we started eating and talking about each other. She told me about the time that her sister got her foot stuck in the toilet one day after school while they were home alone. I told her about the one time that my sister wrapped Grayson up and put him on the trampoline. He had to get stitches. She laughed so hard at that one.

Brookelynne's Point of View 

I was laughing so hard that I couldn't breathe until something came to mind, how did Ethan know that  I liked him in the first place? I mean, I have never told him that before. "Hey, how did you know that I liked you in the first place? I mean, I never told you that, have I?" "No, you haven't. I actually knew that you liked me because Maddy told me." 

Of course! Maddy would have told him. I should have never trusted her with a secret like that! I am so mad at her. Ugh! "I can't believe that I trusted her with a secert like that!" "Hey, if she wouldn't have told me, we would not be here right now having the time of our lives, now would we?" "No, I guess that you are right." "Now let's just focus on what is happening now, not what happened in the past."

Ethan's Point of View 

When the waiter came back with our bill, Brooke suggested that we should split it. I thought that idea was pretty reasonable, so I didn't deny it. After we payed, we walked to the car and I dropped her off at her house. This was probably the best date of my whole life, I didn't even mess up. I hope that Brooke thinks the same way and wants to go on another date sometime. I can only hope...
