He Kissed Me!?

Brookelynne's Point of View 

I woke up the next day with a weird feeling. Almost as if something was going to happen. I couldn't tell if it was going to be something good or not, but I could tell that it was going to be something important. 

We had school today, so I had to hurry up and take a shower so I would have time to meet Ethan at his before the first bell rang. I am really excited to give Ethan a surprise that I have been working weeks on. I had to get everything just right. It is just a little something to tell Ethan how much I love him.

I ran into the bathroom, so I could take a really quick shower and then blow my hair dry. I did some natural makeup, you know, just to enhance my inner beauty. (Or in other words a little of mascara. 😂) 

After that I headed back into my room to pick out an outfit for the day. I went with a white and gray striped cardigan with a gray tank top under it. For the pants, I wore some gray leggings and you guessed it, some gray boots. I don't know why, but I am just in a gray kind of mood today. 

I grabbed a banana for the road and Maddy and I headed out to the bus. "What's that?" Maddy asked referring to the 'surprise' that I had for Ethan. "Oh, nothing." I lied. I don't like lying, but in this case, I pretty much had to. I mean you saw what she did when I told her that I liked Ethan (which isn't necessarily a bad thing), I can't imagine what she would know if she would find out about this. I have nothing against her, but she is just the kind of person who just always has to be involved in your business. 

"Come on, Brooke, I can obviously see that it is something. If you don't want me to know, just tell me that it is none of my business. You don't have to lie about it." "Okay, okay. Sorry. I guess that it is none of your business?" I said as almost a question. "Tell me, tell me, tell me." She begged just as the bus pulled up. "See this is exactly why I didn't want to tell you." I said slightly laughing as I got on the bus.

"Are Ethan and Grayson not riding the bus today?" "No, their sister is taking them. She is back from college for a few weeks." I explained. "Oh, sweet." I just smiled and stared out of the window until we finally got to school. When we got there, I rushed to my locker, so I would have enough time to get my things for first hour and get to Ethan's locker, so I could give him my 'surprise'. 

When I finally made it to Ethan's locker, I was completely out of breath, "H-hey." I said taking breaths inbetween the word. "Why are you so out of breath?" Ethan asked slightly chuckling. "I had to give you something and I thought that you might have already left." I explained still out of breath. "Brooke, we have the same first hour, I was going to wait for you anyways, like I do every morning." He said still chuckling. "Oh, right." I said slightly embarrassed.

"Anyways, what was so important that you had to run here to give me?" "Oh yeah, this." I said giving him a piece of paper that was folded up all nice and neat. "What's this?" He asked suspiciously and gave me a suspicious look. When he unfolded it, he smiled. "Awe, B, this is so sweet." He said giving me a hug. "Okay, let's get going before we are late to Science." 

So, I am sure that you are all just dying to know what was on that little piece of paper, now weren't you? Well here it is, it was a love poem that read:   

Dear Ethan,

You know that love is true 

When the oceans are blue

If they are always blue

Love is always true

This proves how much I love you

Love,

(Author's Note: I know that this poem is kind of cheesy, but I just came up with it on the spot lol. I actually think that it is kind of cute in a way. I don't know, maybe it is just me lol. Don't judge 😂)

**Skip to at Lunch**

While I was in line to get my lunch tray with Ethan, Kevin (the creepy neighbor from the beginning of the book if you forgot) came up to me and started to flirt with me. "Kevin, stop. I have a boyfriend!" I demanded, "Oh yeah? I would doubt that who would be lucky enough to date a fine thang just as yourself?" "Um that would be me!" Ethan interrupted and his face was really red, I could tell that he was getting angry.

"Guys, guys, there is no need to fight about this." "Stay out of this , Brookelynne." Ethan said obviously about to fight about this. Just then, Kevin punched Ethan in the eye. By that time, Ethan was obviously furious and started punching Kevin. This must have caught the principal's attention because she came over here and took the boys away to her office. As he was about to walk out of the door, Ethan gave me an ' I'm sorry ' look. Ugh, why does Kevin have to be so annoying?

"So that just happened." I said as I was sitting down at our usual table next to Grayson. "Yeah, who was that kid?" "That was my annoying neighbor, Kevin. He has been totally obsessed with me since like the fifth grade." I explained clearly annoyed. "I bet he has a black eye." I added. "Yeah, I wouldn't doubt it. I just don't know what has gotten into him lately." Grayson says thoughtfully.

"Hmm... I don't know, has he ever had a girlfriend before?" "No, well not at least an 'official' one. You know, just the ones you have in like elementary school. I can tell that he really likes you though, you make him happy." "Awe. Really?" I said and I could tell that I was blushing. "He is probably just trying to protect me then." I said smiling.

**After School, at Ethan and Grayson's house** 

Ethan was already there, so I would assume that he probably got suspended for a few days, but I definitely was not going to be the first one to bring that up. It has became almost like a routine that I go over to their house after school, so that we can work on our homework together.

"Hey Ethan." I said as I walked in the door, giving him a hug. We walked up to Grayson's room, so we could get started on our homework. "I'll be right back, imma go to the bathroom real quick." Ethan said as he left the room. 

"So it's just you and me...😏" Grayson said creepily. "Okay...?" Grayson moved in closer. "Grayson, stop, what are you doing?" He placed his finger onto my lips, "shhh baby girl, I'll take it from here." He said as he put his lips onto mine and started kissing me...

                                        He kissed me?!?!
