Chapter 8- Nightmares

(Steve Rodgers POV)

I woke up to take a sip of my water when I heard a scream. I got out of my bed and ran down hallway. I heard the scream again and it sounded like it came from Nicole's room. I ran to her door and opened it. I saw her moving around in her bed. I ran up to herr and she was sweating like crazy. I grabbed her arm and started shaking her gently.

"Nicole" I said quietly. she didn't wake up. "Nicole" I said a little louder. she kept movie around. "NICOE WAKE UP!!!" I shouted. she woke up and started panting. she sat up and I sighed in relief. "are u ok?" I asked Nicole. she nodded and gave me a hug and I gave her one back. "did you a nightmare?" I asked

"yes, I'm so glad s a nightmare and not real." Nicole said. She let go.

"what was it about?" I ased.

"its nothing." Nicole said.

"its better if u tell someone." I sat on her bed and she moved closer.

"Obadiah Stan and Ivan Vanko both came back from the dead because of Loki. they all joined up together making them unbeatable. well we as the avengers tried to defeat them but we failed. we were all held captive and they started killing us. well Natasha, Clint, Bruce, and thor all died because of what loki did t them. my dad was up next and Obadiah and Ivan put them in front of me. they did what they always wanted to do to him. kill him. they did it slowly and they made me suffer by watching them kill my dad. you were up next and that's when u woke me uup." Nicole said. I pulled her close to me and I kiss the top of her head.

"its ok Nicole" I said. she looked at me.

"no its not, what if that really happens. what if it wasn't a nightmare? " Nicole cried. I kissed her lips. it was a salty kiss but better then e first one we had. I broke the kiss and looked into her eyes. "what was that for?" Nicole asked.

"to get you to forget about the dream." I said. she smiled. "now lay down and get some rest." I said. Nicole nodded. she lied down and pulled the blanket up to her shoulder. I got up and walked over to the door. I turned and saw Nicole asleep. she looks so cute when she is asleep. I gently closed the door and walked back to my room.
