CHAPTER 3: Daddy

(Nicole Starks POV)

I walked out of the elevator and saw pepper at the desk. "hai pep." I said. pepper turned her head and looked at me. "hai Nicole." pepper said. "so pepper, where's dad?" I asked. "In his suit." Pepper replied. I walked over to her and she was looking at levels of stark tower. "your good to go on this end. the rest is up to you." my dad said from the computer screen. I jumped. "You disconnected the transition lines? are we off the grid?" Pepper asked. "Stark tower is about to become a beacon of self sustaining clean energy." my dad replied. "wow. so maybe the arc reactor takes over and it will actually work? I asked.

"I assume. Light her up." my dad said. Pepper played with the keyboard and the out side of the stark tower lit up. "How does it look?" Pepper asked. "Like Christmas but with more me." my dad replied. I rolled my eyes. "Gotta go wider on the public awareness campaign. you need to do some press. I can do some more tomorrow. I'm working on the zoning for the next billboards." pepper said to my daddy. "Pepper your killing me.  remember? enjoy the moment." my dad said. I saw him fly over to his thing he  built out side the stark tower that takes off his suit. "then get in here. and I will." Pepper replied. I rolled my eyes and walked over to the couch. My dad entered to the room and walked over to pepper.

"Level are holding steady.... I think." pepper said. "Of course they are. I was directly involved. which brings me to my next question. How does it feel to be an genius." daddy asked pepper. well this is gonna get awkward fast. "well I really wouldn't know now, would I." pepper replied. "what do you mean? All this, came from you." my dad said. Ughhhhh. Why am I even listening? they are to loud. "No, All this came from that." pepper said. I bet she was pointing at my dads arc reactor. "Give your self some credit, please. Stark Tower is your baby. give yourself....... 12% of the credit." my dad said. "12%?" Pepper asked. "an argument can be made for 15." my dad said. pepper started walking over towards me.

"12% of my baby?" pepper asked. "well I did do all the heavy lifting. Literally. I lifted the heavy things and sorry but the security snafu? that was on you." my dad said. he sat net to me on the couch. "You guys both should get 15%" I said to both Pep and my dad. they both looked at me. "then what happens to the other 70%?" my dad asked. "I get it." I said. My dad glared at me and turned back to pepper. They started to talk when Jarvis spoke up. "sir, The telephone. I'm afraid my protocols are being overwritten." Jarvis said. Suddenly I heard Phil's Voice over the phone. Fuck. This better not be about me. 'Stark we need to talk." Phil said in the phone. my dad picked up the cell phone.

"You have reached the life model decoy of Tony stark. please leave a message." my dad said. I covered my mouth and started giggling. "this is urgent." Phil said. "Then leave it Urgently." daddy said. Suddenly the elevator doors opened and Phil walked in. "Security Breach!!" my dad shouted. "Mr. Stark." Phil said. "Phil!" Pepper and I said at the same time. "Come in." Pepper said. "Phil?" my dad questioned. "I cant stay." Phil said. he must be recruiting my dad. I am safe. I hope. "uh... His first name is agent."  My dad said to pepper and I. "Come on in. We're celebrating." pepper said walking up to Phil. My dad and I did to.

"which is why he cant stay." my dad said. I looked over at him and glared. "we need you to look this over." Phil said. he tried handing my dad a file. "As soon as possible." "Phil. you could just say ASAP right." I told Phil. "I don't like being handed things." my dad said. "That's alright, because I love to be handed things. lets trade." pepper said. She took the file from Phil handing him her drink. She handed the file to me and I took my dads drink handing him the file. Pepper then took dads drink out of my hand and took a sip. "Thank you." Pepper said. "Official consulting hours are between 8 and 5 every Thursday." dad said. I slapped my dad. "This isn't a consultation." Phil said. "is this about the avengers? which I know nothing about." Pepper said. 

"I do." I said. My dad looked at me confused and started walking over to his desk. "The Avengers Initiative was scrapped. I thought,, and I didn't even qualify." my dad said. "I didn't know that either." pepper said. "Yea, Apparently I'm volatile, self obsessed, don't play well with others." My dad said. I nodded. "that I did know." pepper said. "This isn't about personality profiles anymore." Phil said. "What ever. Miss. Potts, Got a minute?" my dad asked pepper. Pepper left me and Phil. "I really thought this was going to be about me." I said to Phil.

"Well you didn't do anything wrong. And sice your an avenger your dad is gonna find out soon this week." Phil said. I looked at phil. "Wait I'm an avenger. since when?" I asked Phil. "Well with your Powers, you would do great on the team. Phil said. my eyes widened. "How the hell did you know I have powers ?" I asked Phil. "Remember 4 years ago we asked for you blood sample? That's how." Phil said. "Shit. I totally forgot about that." I said. "If you can control all four elements that will make the team stronger." Phil Said. "Maybe, Does SHIELD need me in?" I asked Phil. "Oh yea, Like tonight." Phil said. I sighed. "I just got home but whatever." I said.

I grabbed my purse witch had my gun in it. "Dad! I have to go and so does Phil." I said to my dad. Pepper whispered something into his ear.  Pepper and my dad kissed and pepper walked over. "Lets go." she said. "wait, all of us?" I asked as we entered the elevator. "well yea. I have to go to the air port and you and phil have to go to ...." Pepper couldn't finish. I can tell Phil was about to say something. "We are going to a museum." I lied. Phil nodded his head in agreement.

"Okay." the door opened amd we walked out of stark tower. Phil and I got into a car while Pepper got into Happy's car. "why did you lie to Pepper?" Phil asked. "you agreed with me. so don't ask." I said. I cat believe I'm an avenger. I'm really scared to tell my daddy though. mainly because he's my daddy.
