On a nearly isolated island, with a minuscule civilization, but full of mysterious life. In the calm waters, mystical creatures, with eyes which reflect the island's beauty, rule the sea. Humans of the land, they whisper and mummer. The legends alive of those with scales which flash, with alluring voices which call out to the souls of their kind. The creatures do not bother, after all, they get what they need.
This is how they lived harmoniously.
For a long time they did,
until one human disrupted it all.
