Pride was the only thing Jack could feel right now. The pride of being one of the many people graduating from the academy and earning their badges.

The ceremony was taking place right outside of the police station, all the officers were on the stage and so was the chief. All the family members sat in chairs front of the stage, while all the soon to be officers were seated on the benches to the left.

The chief walked up to the podium, adjusted the microphone, tapped it, then started to talk.

"Hello everyone." The sheriff spoke into the mic. "I am chief John Kale, and welcome our graduation ceremony."

Everyone in the crowd started to applauded.

"Today, on this sunny evening, we welcome the many young men and women to the police force. To protect and to serve the people of this town." The crowd applaud.

"I will now call up the names of the graduates so they can receive their badges." The chief finished.

He then started to call out the names of different people. One by one people walked up to the stage and had their badges pinned to their uniform, sometimes he would say a few words about the person. Jack was the very last of the people, so he had to wait longer.

Jack looked around to see if he could find his family in the crowd. He had finally found his huge family, his two brothers and sisters, and parents where sitting in the middle to the left row. His family waved at him and he waved back, and his mother was taking way to many pictures then she should be taking.

After and pretty long wait they finally called Jack's full name. Jack got up from his spot on the bench and walked over to the stage, every step he got closer he got more excited.

Once on stage the second in command, also know as officer Dan, walked up to Jack with the badge in hand. Dan smiled at Jack, and Jack smiled back.

"Now Sean is the most hard working and devoted person that I have met." The chief stated. "From day one he was determined to get to place he is know, and I'm proud to say that he will be graduating the academy, a valedictorian with top credentials." The whole crowd cheered for Jack as Dan clipped on his badge, Jack had finally did it.

"Sean it is know my great privilege to officially assign you in California, LA in America."

The whole crowd was silent and Jack had his mouth wide open.

"Really?! America!?" Jack question. Sure Jack did work hard, but to be sent to America?!

The chief chuckled at Jack's face. "Yes Sean, congratulations."

The crowd then applauded and cheered for Jack again, Jack couldn't have felt more proud.

He looked over to see his family, his brothers and sisters where happy and clapping for him.

But the look on his mom and dad face, was a different story.
