"I'm convinced that we Black women possess a special indestructible strength that allows us to not only get down, but to get up, to get through, and to get over." -Janet Jackson
Cosette's P.O.V.
"It's official I have a thing for athletes," I muttered to myself. As my eyes, followed Tyus and the other basketball players run suicides throughout the entire gym. Their coach was currently punishing them for not working as a team during practice. I casually sat on the bleachers and admired the different ethnicities that formed the basketball team. I have never been against dating outside of my race but it was something about the way black melanin skin contrasted against mine that enticed me the most.I did a once over on all of the boys once again, before my eyes were locked onto Tyus's brown chocolate eyes that were staring straight back at me with a smirk that was slowly turning into a grin as he watched me. The coach suddenly blew his whistle which made us quickly look away from each other and instead focused our full attention on his basketball coach.
I sighed in relief that Tyus's intense eyes had finally left mine. Just then my phone vibrated in the pocket of my jean jacket. I reached and grabbed my phone and quickly unlocked it to see that I had new incoming messages from Nyla.
