We had been dating for two and a half years now, we had moved in together and it was (y/n)'s birthday, I had got a surprise for her, we were throwing a little party with family and friends, it was the perfect time to do this...

-------------earlier that day--------------

We had originally planned for me to play her favourite song but I have an idea, no one knows that I'm going to do this but I have to, I want to. I hid the small box behind the speakers and I check with her parents and ask if it's ok for me to do this.
They thought is was a great idea, so now all I have to do is wait for her and (bff/n) to arrive at the house.

(Y/n) - hey babe we are on our way back to the house now xx

She walks into the house and I gather everyone in the garden where I had set up, I start to play no more, it was still her favourite song. After that I got her to come up onto the little stage and I got the box from behind the speaker, I slip it into my pocket.

"Close your eyes babe." I said, she did as I told her and I got down on one knee.

"Open your eyes babe." Before she could say anything I continued, " Will you make me the happiest man on earth, will you (y/n) (l/n) marry me?"

"YES NATE!!" She shouted and ran at me with the biggest hug, I slip the ring on her finger and fist bumped the air. Everyone cheered, except for (y/n), she was crying.

"Aww babe, don't cry!"

"They are tears of joy, babe, you have made this the best birthday ever." She breathed in my scent, she calmed down strait away.

"I didn't know I smelt that good" she laughed.

"It always calms me down, remember?"

"Of course I do"

"WOOOOO IM GETTING MARRIED!" She shouted, nearly falling off the stage, I catch her, but we fall onto the floor and she is on top of me. I couldn't help it, I cried, I think I broke my leg.
