Chapter 2

"Get off me-"

"Ssssh. Wag kang maingay. Mmm. Ang bango bango mo na ang ganda ganda mo pa."

Maine did her best to pull away from his grip but he was too strong. He held his hand against her mouth as she screamed. He inched closer, burying his face in the crook of her neck and inhaled. She bit his hand, hard, almost drawing blood and kicked him in the groin. He rolled over in pain, as she quickly stood up and ran towards the kitchen to obtain a knife to defend herself.

He was quick, pulling her by the hair as she squealed. Again, he grabbed her by the waist and the pushed her face first on the kitchen counter. Her hands reached out, grabbing anything she could but failed, everything just tumbled all over the floor. She screamed as loud as she could, hoping anyone would hear her asking for help.

"Tulong! Tulong! Rj! Rj! Tulungan niyo ko-"

"Shhh. Sino si Rj, hmm? Boypren mo?"

"Rj! Please! Tulong-"

"Kahit sumigaw ka ng sumigaw, walang tutulong sayo."

"Please, parang awa mo na. 'Wag mong gawin sa akin 'to!"

"Sige lang. Gusto ko pag nagmamakaawa ka."

"Umalis ka na lang, parang awa mo na. Hindi ako magsasalita, hindi ako magsusumbong. Basta umalis ka na lang, plea-"

"Tumahimik ka!"

"Si Rj! Darating yung boyfriend ko. Bubugbugin ka niya pag nakita ka niya dito. Please, umalis ka na-"

"Sabi nang tumahimik ka eh!" He grabbed her by the hair and banged her head, five times until she became weak, on the kitchen counter. She almost lost consciousness. Her eyes heavy-lidded, she saw red, as blood started gushing from her forehead. "Titikman muna kita, bago dumating ang boypren mo!"

He started ripping her clothes off, until she was almost naked. She tried to fight back, but her body lost all its strength. However, her mind was fully awake. Her life flashed before her eyes as the stranger began to molest her.

With all her strength, she managed to grab a jar and hit him in the head. She tried to escape, but her knees buckled and she fell on the floor.

"Putangina!" The stranger screamed as he held on to his head. "Saan ka pupunta?! Halika ka dito, puta ka!"

He kicked her numerous times on the stomach as she rolled on the floor in pain. She pleaded for her life but he wasn't hearing any of it. He threw her around, as things tumbled all over the floor, glasses shattered and her blood was splattered everywhere. Still, she didn't lose consciousness and continued screaming for help until her voice ran out.

"Tu...tulong...R..j...Rj...tu..."

"Gusto mo talagang masaktan ha." With all his might, he stomped on her right leg, leaving it broken.

"Ahhhhhhhhh!" She gasped and screamed in pain. Using her arms, she crawled, still fighting for her life, hoping for anyone to help her. She reached for her phone that fell on the floor but he stepped on her hand as well. Next thing she knew, everything turned black.

He continued to infract her, as she laid unconscious on the floor. Rj arrived after a few minutes. The lock on the front door was completely destroyed, like someone forcefully opened it. Worried, he hurriedly opened the door and was appalled by the sight before him. The love of his life, being violated by a stranger.

"Hoy! Sino ka?! Anong ginagawa mo?!" Rj attacked him, but he fought back, leaving Rj with bruises as well. Unfortunately, the stranger was able to escape.

With all his strength, Rj reached out to Maine, as tears continuously fell from his eyes.

"Maine..Maine..gising. Maine, please, gumising ka. I'm sorry, I'm sorry." He carefully carried her in his arms and brought her to the hospital.
