Heidi's POV
I walk down the short steps, making my way onto the beach. The cool air brushes my face and I set up my towel on the sand and lye down. I am so relieved to be here. The breeze was so refreshing. I must admit, the tiles of our kitchen floor were nice and cool to lie on, but horribly uncomfortable. At least here you can mould yourself into the sand and relax. I grab my phone out of my pocket and plug in my headphones. I put on some music and decide to close my eyes for a bit. It is so peaceful here, compared to the city we used to live in.
Jai's POV
About 20 metres away from me there's this girl lying on the beach. I've actually never seen her before; she's pretty good looking. She has a good tan and has blonde hair that's shining in the sunlight. It looks like she's sleeping. She probably is because she obviously isn't noticing the crab that's decided to sit on her back. It's about the size of my hand. Maybe I should go and move the crab from her back.
I decide to walk over there. I really hope the crab doesn't attack me. I pick it up, holding it's back and just when I'm about to put it back on the ground, she wakes up.
"OMG what are you doing!" She says loudly
I jump in fright and accidently drop the crab. It quickly scampers away.
"Sorry, it's just. That crab was on your back." I say
"Oh. Sorry for scaring you." She says smiling
Even her voice is perfect.
"Don't worry it's ok." I reply
"I'm going to go for a swim now. Seeya." She says.
"Bye" I say back.
I walk away and when I look back she's taken off her dress and she's just wearing her bikini, It's white and it makes her look even more tanned. She runs down to the water and dives in.
Heidi's POV
The water is so refreshing. It's so good to feel the ocean again; it's been so long since I've been to the beach. That boy was super cute. Maybe I should have asked what his name was. I can't believe he actually had the guts to come over and get that crab off me. I look back at him and he's gone off to talk to some of his mates. I catch a few of them looking at me and I quickly dive back in the water, avoiding their glances.
The water isn't that crowded which is good. There are a few people here and there but there are more people on the beach than in the ocean.
I swim out further, going out deeper. I put my feet back onto the ocean floor and accidently step on something weird and squishy. Shaking it off, I quickly leap away from it making a huge splash, but there was a huge stinging pain in my foot. It starts to itch. It's going numb and my head feels really weird. I try to swim back onto the beach but I feel really weak.
I finally reach the sand the collapse. A nearby life-guard sees me fall and quickly runs over.
