"These kits are prophesied to do great things, Tallstar." The she-cat's bright green eyes gleamed in the moonlight, her white fur sparkling.
"But one will betray the others, that is what remains in darkness." She placed a small paw closer to Tallstar and sat down in the grass, tucking her paws into her chest, trying to get into a comfortable position.

"These kits are a danger to WindClan!" Tallstar protested, his amber eyes cutting through the shadows of night, as if they were stars of Silverpelt. "It was unwise for them to even be born!"

"We can not control when a kit is born," the she-cat reminded Tallstar, "Just like how we can not control when the leaves fall or when a battle begins. And you know as well as I do, they are strong kits. There is no reason for them to turn against their Clan." The she-cat gave Tallstar a comforting lick on the shoulder.

"Yes, but WindClan is still weak from the Great Battle. Onestar has one life left and rabbits are scarce - even more rare than usual. They will be unable to do anything if one of them takes over! You say that the only thing we do not know is who will become evil, yes? But that is the thing we need to know the most. WindClan will be shaken to it's core once a loyal cat turns against them. Now tell me, Moth Flight, how are we supposed to know?" Moth Flight took a relaxing breath.

"Yes, but we do know the prophesied cat." Moth Flight responded, trying to sound confident, which was hard with Tallstar staring thorns at her.

Tallstar inclined his head, and opened his jaws to speak, eyes still flashing angrily. "Moth Flight, why do I have the feeling you aren't telling me everything?"

"I have already told you all I know." Moth Flight responded simply. "She is going to do great things. If now is when WindClan needs her most, then she will need to be stronger than ever."

Moth Flight saw a flash of movement from the corner of her eye, and turned to see a cat padding over, trekking over the moorland hills. Tallstar watched her come closer, then returned his gaze to Moth Flight. Moth Flight heard a shuffle paws behind her, and the cat walked over to sit next to Tallstar. Moth Flight watched Tallstar, seeing what he would do. Almost like a cat stalking his prey.

Tallstar didn't respond for a few moments, flicking his tail side-to-side, inquiringly. "You know why you have been summoned, do you?" The cat nodded in reply. "Okay then, what do you think about this, Windstar?"

Windstar shuffled uneasily in her position. "I do not know, Tallstar." Windstar's voice was hoarse, as if she hadn't uttered a word in a pawful of moons. "All I know is that neither of the other kits can be trusted. They could be the destruction of WindClan."

Tallstar's eyes glinted in agreement, and he kneaded the grass with his claws. "Agreed."

"We must send word to WindClan, then." Moth Flight said hurriedly, her words hardly more than a whisper. She hadn't sent out a StarClan message in moons.

"Who shall we tell?" Tallstar questioned. "What if we tell the wrong kit, Moth Flight? How do you know that she's the right one?"

"The stars have told me." Moth Flight replied simply, then continued. "I wish to give her the message."

"She won't understand, though." Windstar meowed, as if she just thought Moth Flight was kidding, but Moth Flight's expression stayed dead serious.

"She is yet to understand, but one day, she will figure it out." Moth Flight replied. Windstar dipped her head, gazing once again up at Silverpelt.

"If WindClan is to survive, we must let someone else know!" Tallstar protested. "I will not let my Clan be overthrown once again." Tallstar ended with a growl.

"No." Moth Flight's tone was as hard as steel. "We must not tell any other cat in WindClan. The other two kits still have a chance. If we tell any other warriors, the Clan will shut them out. That will only make it worse." Moth Flight searched both of their faces, then continued.

"I trust you will not tell any other cat, right Tallstar?" Tallstar gave a reluctant nod. "If we do not tell the cats anything, they might remain loyal. They might not turn evil."

"Which one will turn, Moth Flight?" Windstar asked quietly, looking Moth Flight staring deep into her mother's eyes, and Windstar's yellow ones seeming to read her every move. Question her every thought. And look straight through her. Moth Flight shivered.

After a moment she replied, to Windstar. "We do not know, Windstar." Moth Flight took a deep and shaky breath. "There are some stars even StarClan can not read."
