Chapter 11: Always & Forever

Our wedding is only a week from now and I'm really excited for it. All of the troubles that we've been through and all of the obstacles that stood in our way only to lead up to this event. All of it was worth it and I'd gladly do it all over again if it meant that I could be with him for the rest of my life. I can barely contain my excitement but if it's for him I'll wait for years. It's very frightening how much you can love someone. You can love someone so much that you wouldn't be able to express it at all but you can still be content as long as the other person knows how you feel and feels the same.

"What are you thinking about Alana?" Wilfred asked as he peered into my face curiously.

"Nothing much. I'm just thinking about the day when we will be married. I'm so excited I don't know what to do with myself." I admitted with a smile on my face.

"I feel the same as you. I can't believe after everything we've been through the day is so near." He said with a smile.

"Yes. I've been thinking that as well but..." I paused before breaking out into a smile. "It was all worth it just to be with you." I said softly. Wilfred smiled as he leaned in towards me. "Mm..." I sighed as his warm lips met mine in a gentle kiss. It makes me wonder if every day will be like this after we're married. A part of me hope so but another part of me knows that something will be different but it's still a good thing. I don't care what the outcome. As long as I'm with Wilfred I'll be happy no matter what.

"Maybe one day there'll be more worth fighting for." Wilfred smiled. I tilted my head in confusion.

"Whatever do you mean?" I asked curiously. Wilfred just smiled leaving me to think about it on my own. More worth fighting for? Could he mean... My eyes widened upon realizing exactly what he meant.

"I see you've discovered the meaning of what I said." He smirked mischievously.

"I-it's a little too early to be thinking that!" I said quickly as a blush rose to my face.

"Heh heh. Your face is so red." He laughed.

"Well it's your fault for suggesting such things!" I said as I tried to hide my blush.

"I look forward to seeing more of your adorable expressions once we're married." He said with a bright smile which just made all traces of slight anger and embarrassment fade away. That smile looked so innocent, he looked like a young child. This is one of the many things I love and will always love about this man.

-A Week Later-

I gazed at the woman standing in front of the mirror. Her long auburn hair cascaded down her back in light curls. A tiara sat atop her head with a long elegant veil. She was dressed in an extremely beautiful sleeveless white dress with intricate embroidery. Blue eyes stared into blue eyes.

"Is this...really me?" I asked softly as I touched the mirror with a light touch.

"It is sweetheart." My mother said as she placed her hands on my shoulders and stood in the mirror with me. "It feels like only yesterday that you were playing in the backyard laughing so energetically and now look at you... You're grown up and getting married to the man you love. I couldn't wish for anything more for you." She said with a cheerful smile. I turned to her with a smile of my own.

"Thank you mom." I said softly as I hugged her.

"Well I better get going and you better be ready." Mom said as she smiled and left. I stood on the mirror for a few moments longer before moving to a window.

"You look absolutely beautiful princess." I heard a familiar voice from behind me and in a matter of minutes there were two strong arms wrapped around me.

"I can't believe that today's the day." I whispered with a small smile. His head rested on my shoulder as we stood watching the people enter through the gates.

"I've been waiting impatiently for this day. The day that you will finally be completely mine." I chuckled when I heard the hint of enthusiasm in his voice.

"After today we'll be together forever." I said with a warm smile.

"And nothing will ever separate us." He said back. I turned my head to look at him and saw a smile was adorning his face. I smiled back at him and just as we were about to lean in.

"My prince, my princess. It is time." Claude had entered the room with a bow informing us of what we need to do.

-In the Chapel of Nobel Michel-

I stood behind two large doors with my father at my side. Inside music could be heard playing within. In just a few moments those doors would open and I would be walking down the aisle with everyone's gazes on me. I felt really nervous at the thought of this but my father squeezed my hand and smiled to reassure me. Then...

The music began playing again as the doors opened. There were red rose petals scattered about the aisle and people on either side. Slowly my father and I walked down the aisle. I could feel the gazes of everyone in the room but there was one gaze that stood out among the rest. My gaze met his and a smile made its way to my lips. He smiled back at me lovingly and it seemed that time was going much faster. By the time the music had ended I was standing by his side and prepared to make my vows of eternal love...

(A Few Minutes Later)

"Alana. My love for you is incomprehensible and knows no limits. I want you to forever be by my side. So I ask you..." Wilfred paused as he smiled at me while our hands were joined together.

"Will you be my princess?"

"Yes. Always and forever..."
