Tokyo Ghoul: Harō

Chapter 1

"So, who's the girl?" Asked Hide.
Kaneki looked around frantically, "she's not here, yet. This is the only place where I get to see her." Hide took a sip of his coffee, "so, where are you gonna take her on her first date?"
Kaneki though for a moment.
"I'd say a book store." He said. Hide burst out laughing.
"A book store!? You're joking, right?" He said.

The door rang, and a girl with white hair and green eyes walked in, wearing a black sweater and jeans. Hide's eyes widened slightly. He then pointed to the girl, "is that her?"
Kaneki looked at the girl Hide was pointing at. 'She's cute, I'll give you that,' Kaneki thought. He shook his head.
Hide kept staring at the girl, "at least she's hot. What about her?" Hide pointed at another girl with short dark purple hair.
Kaneki shook his head again. "Not her. I said she isn't here yet. Don't you ever listen to anything I say?"
Hide laughed.
The news came on, reporting about male bodies being found somewhere. It says they were killed a ghoul; The Binge Eater.
"Their getting close to home, buddy." Hide said.
Kaneki only nodded.
Hide then did something stupid.
"Hey! I need a waitress over here!" He said. The girl with the purple hair walked towards their table, "do you need anything?" She asked.
Hide grinned, "are you single?"
Kaneki's eyes widened, "Hide!"
The girl just glared at him, "actually, can you give a cup of coffee to that girl over there? The one with the white hair." Hide said.
Touka ( the purple haired girl) glanced at the girl nervously.
She then nodded and walked
Back to the counter, placing the order.

The bell rang again, and this time a girl with violet/purplish hair walks in, wearing glasses.
Kaneki looked at Hide, "that's her."
Hide looked over his shoulder.
He sighed, "good luck pal." He patted Kaneki's shoulder and stretched, getting up from his seat.
"Wait, you're leaving!?" Kaneki said in disbelief.
Hide made a peace sign with his hand, "yup! I want that girl to think I'm mysterious! Good luck buddy!" Hide then left the shop.
Kaneki sweat dropped and opened his book.
He looked over at the girl, and saw that she was reading the same book. She looked up and smiled at him, which made him blush. He didn't notice the girl walk by him, until she slammed her hands on his table.
He jumped.
He looked at the girl. "Listen, where's the guy that sent me the coffee?" She said. 'She looks more beautiful up close,' Kaneki thought. But, his mind was on someone else.
He looked around nervously.
"H-he left!"
She raised an eyebrow, and brushed her white bangs away. She sighed, "when you see him again, tell him to screw off."
He stuttered, "h-hai!"
"Sorry. I didn't mean to scare you." She said, calmly.
She walked back to her table.
Kaneki then looked at the girl he liked so much.
She looked up and smiled at him. He blushed and turned away again. He looked back, and she held up her book. The same as his.

"Man, you are one lucky bastard." Hide said over the phone.
He appeared to be eating something.
Kaneki had made a move, and asked the girl out. "Her name is Rize. And who would've thought we liked the same books!" Kaneki said.
He was still fretting over it.
He couldn't wait for his date.

Little did he know, things would change.
