Tokyo Ghoul: Harō

Chapter 2

Kaneki and Rize went about their date. He took her to lunch, first, then took her the library.
He seemed to be having fun, but he didn't know she had a plan up her sleeve.
It was nightfall and Rize and Kaneki were about to say their goodbyes, when all of a sudden she became quiet.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Kaneki asked.
She stared at the ground, "well, I happen to live near where all the attack have been happening, and I'm afraid to walk by myself."
Kaneki thought for a moment, until his face lit up. "Hey, I'll walk you home tonight! It's the least I can do." He said. She looked up, happiness in her eyes. "You will? Thank you!" She said.

They proceeded to walk in the other direction. They were near the train station, when Touka and her friend happen to walk by. Touka stared at Kaneki and Rize.
"Touka, c'mon!" Said her friend.
"Right," she said, stepping back into place with her friend.

Kaneki began telling her his life story. How his father died and how Kaneki barely remembered him. He then told her how later on his mother died.
"I've never told anyone this except Hide." He says.
They continued walking, until Rize stepped in front of him and stopped. "I should get going. My homes not far from here. Thank you for today Kaneki." She bowed. He could only smile. "No problem. Uh, I hope to see you again, Rize." A train raced by as the two stared at each other quietly. Suddenly, Rize walked up to Kaneki, and nuzzles into him.
"I've had my eye on you for awhile now, Kaneki. I feel the same way as you do." She said.
He couldn't believe what he was hearing. The girl he likes so much, was confessing to him. Suddenly, his smile faded, and the feeling of happiness was replaced with pain.
Rize looked up from where she had bitten him, and smiled with blood dripping from her mouth.
"So tasty! It's so delicious!" She said. Kaneki stepped back and fell, holding his wound.
He screamed in pain. Her eyes were filled with the familiar ghoul color and her Kagune came out. She then cornered him, and impales him. Kaneki seemed to look dead, and Rize could only laugh. But, before Kaneki could pass out entirely, he catches a glimpse of white hair on the top of the building.
'No way. That's...' He finally went unconscious.
But, before she can eat him, metal pipes fall into Rize, crushing her and killing her instantly.

Nothing. He felt nothing.
Everything in his mind had cleared, except his thoughts.
That girl. She's the one from the cafe. He thought. Everything was a blur...
He suddenly awoke, but he didn't remember doing so.
His right eye had gone completely ghoul.
