Chapter #5 "Natalie's crush and the project"
Gabby's POV

I say bye to Natalie and Alex since they are going to the same next class. Justin and I are both going to history so we walk together. As we enter the classroom I can already tell that this class isn't going to be good. Karen is in there. Justin and I take two empty seats next to each other. The class starts and the teacher begins class. He starts by introducing himself as Mr. Garcia. He passes out a packet and says

"We will start this semester by doing a project. I will let you pick your group of five members only as long there is no problems. You may start now."
Justin looks at me and says

"Gabriella will you be my partner?"
I giggle and accept his request.
Then Noah and Madison come along and ask us if they want to be in there group. Madison has to be the most popular girl in the school. She is super nice and friendly but if you mess with her she will put up a fight. Then Noah is Madison's boyfriend. He is captain for the basketball team and probably the hottest light-skin in the school. We both accept and then we only have one more member to join our group. Karen and her "best friend" Chloe come and ask if they can be in our group.

"Sorry Karen we only need one more person." she walks away to Mr.Garcia and then comes back and says

"Mr.Garcia said that there can be on group of six since there is an odd number of students." Ugh does this cunt not get it. We don't want you to be in our group.

" Fine you can be in our group" I say. I knew that if we didn't give the girl what she wanted she would the whole school to turn on me.

"Thanks!"
She says and sits down in my seat next to Justin.

"Um Karen that's where I was sitting." I say to her.

"Yea and now it's my seat." She responded.

Then Justin says.
" Here Gabby take my seat."
And gets up. I sit down and Justin takes the seat in front.

"So what do we have to do?" Madison asks.
I read the packet and
" We have to choose a decade , research, and then make a skit about what people did during that age
" Ohh let's do The 1950s!!" Madison says excitedly.
Everyone accepts to the topic and we start working.

The class finishes and we all go to lunch. Then Natalie finds me and starts jumping up and down.

"Ahhhh guess who has a date with Alex on Thursday!!" She whispers.

" You do don't you?" I say

" Yup!!" She screams. She is so red.

" So where are you two going?" I ask.

" We're going bowling and the going out to eat" .

We get our lunch and sit at the table Justin and Alex are at with a few other friends. Then Madison comes towards us and asks

"Are you going to try out for cheer this year Gabby?"

"Probably not." I say. 

"Why not we need you, maybe you could be cheer captain." Madison recommends.

"No that's Karen's job." I say in return.

"But we are tired of Karen trying to boss us around." Natalie whines.

"Just try out today" Madison gives me a cheer packet and walks away.

"So are you gonna do it?" Natalie asks.

"Sure.."
