Chapter 7

Wendy

I stood there as my brother and mate fought. Jasper kicked Jack in the air but, Jack grew wings.

I stood there shocked. I looked at Jack and he looked at me. His face fell and so did he. He landed gently on the ground and walked slowly towards me. I panicked.

"MOM! DAD!" I ran in screaming.

"Honey whats wrong?!" Mom asked.

"JACK AND JASPER ARE FIGHTING AND JASPER KICKED HIM IN THE AIR AND HE USED HIS WINGS!" I screamed.

Mom looked at dad and dad shifted running. I went to run after him but mom pulled me back. I bit her arm with my new fangs and she let go, holding her arm. I ran out the door and jumped in the air shifting. I fell with a thump and ran up in front of Jasper just as Jack was about to pounce but he didn't stop in time. I yelped in pain as his sharp teeth made contact with my shoulder. I fell to the ground and looked weakly at Jack.

"Nononononono Amelia please." He said worried.

"Leave. Leave and never come back!" I growled as my bite healed.

"W-what?" He stuttered.

"YOU ARE NOT MY BROTHER! You need to leave and never EVER come back!" I growled.

He whined and I realized what I said. But I meant it. I struggled to stand up but I did.

"Jasper. I'm coming home with you." I said sternly.

I walked into the house with Jasper close. Mom and dad looked at me sadly.

"Jacks gone and never coming back." I said.

"Why?" Mom said.

"He bit me." I said.

They gasped.

"H-he bit you?" Mom stuttered.

I nodded and Jasper pulled me close. I took a deep breath and hugged mom.

"I'm sorry I but you mom." I said.

"Oh honey, you needed to save your mate, its ok." She said.

"Mom, dad. I'm moving in with Jasper." I say.

"What?!" Mom says.

"I am. I-I need to." I say.

"Why?!" Mom says tearin up.

"Its for the best Wendy." Dad says huggin my now crying mother.

I cant stand to see her cry so I run upstairs to pack. Once I finish, I hug mom and dad for the thousandth time.

"I'll call you everyday. Promise." I said.

"Amelia? We need to go love." Jasper said.

I hug them again and walk with Jasper. I had a backpack full of things on my back and he had one to. We shifted and ran the way to my new home. My new pack. My new life.

Its been 6 years since I left the state. I moved to the other side of the country where me and Jelesapy started a family. Everyday I thought of Amelia. I missed her so much. But I needed to move in. She doesn love me anymore. She's probably so happy with Jasper. And I'm happy with Jelesapy and my 2 boys.

"Jasper honey! We're gonna be later for dinner!" I yell.

"Coming dear!" He yells back.

"John do you have the ring I gave you money for?" I ask my beta.

"Yes Jasper." He said handed me the small velvet box.

I stuck it in my pocket and thanked him. I walked downstairs and kissed Amelia.

"Lets go." I said.

I got in my truck and started it up. I drove to the lake and parked in a spot. I'd rented an area where I set up a dinner for us. I was going to propose to her.

I got out and opened the door for her, taking her hand and helping her out. I walked her on the dock and sat down. I took the top of the tray sitting there to reveal steak, mashed potatoes, and green beans.

After we ate, I took her to the shore and we watched as the full moon rose. I leaned it and kissed her.

"I love you." I said.

"I love you my little blood sucker." She joked.

I stood up and she did to.

"Whats that?" I pointed to nothing.

"What? I don't see anything?" She turned back around to look at me.

I was kneeling with the box closed.

"Amelia Marie Red. I promise to love you forever and never let a soul hurt you. So will you make me the happiest man alive. And marry me?" I said.

She gasped and I got nervous.

"YES!" She cried.

I opened the box and revealed a ruby ring that had a message on the side.

"A.M.R. + J.A.L." She read.

I put it on her finger and kissed her in the moonlight. The best proposal ever!
