The Phone Bug

Chapter 1

          "Happy birthday baby girl, I'm so proud of you."
           "Thanks daddy," Annabelle said with a big smile on her face.
          "Happy birthday little sis, you really need to stop growing," Brody said with a slight twinkle in his eye.
           "Yeah, happy birthday you spoiled fucking brat." Faith mumbled it so nobody heard well at least she hoped but Brody did. Faith is Brody and Annabelle's stepmom. Brody always knew she hated Anna but never knew why. She had always liked him but never had the heart to tell Anna that.

Today was Annabelle's 15 birthday. She was so excited. As she was about to open her first present she was suddenly stop by a text message. She opened it up to see that it was from Lucas.
"Hey Beautiful, happy b-day."
She was impressed after only knowing him for 3 years. She immediately responded with,
"Thx bestie I'll talk to you l8ter."

"Was that from him," Brody hated Lucas from the start. He knew he was bad for Annabelle, he had no proof but that didn't stop Brody's brotherly instinct from kicking in. Annabelle hated that her brother didn't trust her when it came to him.
"And what if it was?" Annabelle threatened. She knew it was just her brother trying to protect her but Lucas was just her best friend. She wanted to prove that to Brody.

" I'll kill him!" She couldn't believe her brother just said that. Would even think of that. What was going on with him? He wouldn't let her date or barely even leave the house. All she could ask was why.

Lucas P.O.V

Bestie, why would she only call me bestie I'm her boyfriend and she knows it. At this point I'm pissed. Why would she do that? Her damn brother that's why. Damn it! Why can't he just let her be with me? I want her, to with be her so bad. I wonder if I talked to her brother he would actually listen..

I checked my phone I had a message from Anna
"Hey what r you doing l8ter?" It took me a few minutes to respond but I thought is she sneaking out to meet me or hmmm... maybe.
"Nothing why, you have something in mind?"

Annabelle's P.O.V

I just texted Lucas knowing my brother would totally kill me if he knew. You know sometimes I just wish he would leave me alone sometime I know he's a few years older than me but that doesnt mean anything. Sometimes he just makes me so mad. Hmm... Lucas just text,
"Nothing why do you have something in mind?" I should respond but I don't think I should I mean he is my best, best friend but sometimes something just doesn't seem right with him.
"No I just wanted to see if you were busy l8ter so I wasn't bored." Sounds good enough right uggh whatever, send.
