Isaac POV

Jane was acting weird that whole night. She kept saying she had to get something from downstairs but come up with nothing. I heard mumbling whenever she went down there. Maybe she was sneaking a boy into the house? I went to the top of the stairs to see. She was nowhere to be found.

"Jane?" I slowly walked down the stairs.

"She's not here..." I heard some woman's voice growl. I was soon pulled underneath the stairs quickly. I hit my head and got knocked out.

-when I woke up-

"You're not worthy of Jane." A tall woman in white gauze stood over me. She had no face. She got right next to my ear. I whimpered.

"Jane will be mine..." She hissed. She bit a piece of my ear off. I bit my bottom lip so hard I started bleeding. She threw me under the stairs and started to board up the place. My mom, dad, and brother were under there crying.

"My baby, are you ok?" My mom held me tightly. Is this what Jane sees? I feel so bad for her. I heard sudden blood curdling screams.

"Mother, get off me!!" I heard Jane. Mother?

"Mother Dearest!!" She shrieked. I heard suffocating. We were all in a corner shaking.

"Listen to me, Mother!" She shouted. The noise stopped.

"Jane...?" Ben said. He was rocking back and forth.

"My child is calling THAT her mother?" My mom said.

"Mom, be quiet." I said.

Jane POV

"Let my family go, Mother Dearest!" I ordered.

"They're not worthy..." She said. Yeah, I was talking to her. I decided to lift a table. Not with my hands, with my mind. I am a conclusion of a science experiment and I got this.

"I will hurt you, Mother. I don't want to, but I will." I said. I brought it slowly towards the bottom of the stairs. I was starting to get a headache quickly. People want to have telepathy? It's painful. The most pain I've ever felt.

"Jane." She kept repeating.

"Help! Help us!" I heard from under the stairs. They were crying. I smashed the table through. When I turned around to where she was, she was gone. She left a note.

You have 31 more days.

Jesus, for what? Ben randomly came up to me and wrapped his arms around me tightly. He was sobbing. I rubbed his back with my hand. My other arm was around him.

"I'm sorry for teasing you..." He said.

"It's fine." I said. I couldn't help but smiling. He finally understood.

"Ben, this is what I go through. I want you to understand that I'm not a freak." I said. He nodded.

"Why were you calling her mother?" Isaac asked.

"She's my Mother Dearest. She just needs help." I said.

"Jane." My mom said.

"What?" I asked.

"She's not so kinda as a mother anymore... We're not safe." She said.
