---Anne's pov---
I heard footsteps walking down the stairs. Then all of a sudden the lights came on and there was a knife to my neck. I relaxed when the knife move away from my throat, but then I felt a pain down on my right wrist. "Zöeanne, I want you to kill this man." Gene said holding a picture of.... Garroth.... " i-i-" I was cut off by Gene saying "If you don't then I'll kill him AND you mother." I looked at him shocked " Your mom or Garroth." He said. I looked down and said "fine.... I'll do it..." "good."
~~~ Back in the village~~~
"Hey Garroth!" I yelled. "Zöeanne! Wait let me go get everyone els-" Garroth said before I cut him off "No! I mean... I want to talk to you... alone.... maybe over here." I walked over behind a house and Garroth followed. "Garroth..... I'm sorry..." I said grabbing my dagger. He noticed this move and pulled out his sword. He got into a good fighting position and I started walking towards him. He started walking back and he bumped into a wall. I walked up and put my dagger to his neck trying to hold back my tears. " Anne you don't have to do this..." He said with tears in his eyes. "Yes I do Garroth... I'm sorry..." I said tears falling from my eyes. "W-Why?" Garroth asked. "Because I have to!" I answered then Garroth grabbed my wrist causing me to drop the dagger. "I can tell you don't want to do this." He said to me. I fell into his arms and started crying. He hugged me and whispered "It's ok Anne... you can stop crying." Then.....
Then we heard a scream coming from my mom's house. Garroth and I ran to see what was happening. When we got there we found my mom laying on the ground lifeless. "Mom!" I yelled falling to my knees and crying "Anne there's a note. It says 'this is only a warning' do you know what it means?" Garroth asked. " Yes..." I answered.
~~~Zoeys funeral~~~
It walked up and put a flower in my mother's hands. "A Lilly of the Valley?" Aphmau asked. "Yes... they were her favorite." I answered crying I went and sat down. Garroth came and sat next to me and said "I'm here for you." This made me cry even more.
