I was getting ready for my "date" with Jay and I got a text from Matt.

Matt: Heyy Nicks I'm coming over right now hope u don't mind, it's my parents again 😤😧

Nicky: It's ok. Just come over rn l'll just have to cancel on Jay, hopefully he understands

Matt: Thanks Nicky, that's y your my best friend ilysfm💙I'll be over in a bit

Nicky: Kk ilysfmt😚❤💙💘💝

I got out of the clothes i had on and changed into some shorts and a tank top. I decided to text Jay and tell him I would have to cancel.

Nicky: Hey Jay sorry but Ima have to cancel, something important came up. I hope u understand.

Jay: Awww I was really looking forward to this, I mean come on u don't see a pretty girl like u falling(literally) for a guy like me lol, but don't worry I understand it's ok. How about we re-arrange it for some other time?

Nicky: Yayy, I would love that. Well I gtg but for sure text me wen. Gn sweet dreams.🍦🍨🍧

Jay: Lol goodnight beautiful 😉😙❤🍦

I heard the front door open and close and hear foot steps on their way up. Matt opens my door and shuts it. I open my arms for him and he walks over to me and cries into my shoulder. "What happened this time?" I asked not amused. His parents always fight and blame it on him. It pisses me off so bad because he didn't even cause it in the first place so, why should he be screamed at, slapped, punched, or punished for something he didn't cause and had nothing to do with. I don't think that's fair. He lays his head on my lap and I play with his hair while he tells me what happened. "They told me I needed to be more like Nate. Nate doesn't even call or visit anymore, he doesn't care. I'm tired of them trying to make me their perfect son." Nate is Matt's older brother. Nate is what you would call the genius in the family. No, I'm not saying Matt isn't smart. Matt is the smartest person I know besides, Cece and Alexia, but Nate is the stuck up genius who shows off his brains to the world. "That isn't fair, like I'm not nate. I'm Matthew, not Nate." "I know Matt don't worry, it's ok I'm here. Go change, and then we'll watch a movie." Matt grabs a pair of sweats and goes into the bathroom. I grab the TV remote and turned it on, I clicked on Netflix and put on The Funtimentals of Caring. Matt soon came out of the bathroom and cuddled up with me. Near the middle of the movie, I started drifting into my dreams, forgot about the movie and fell asleep.

Matt's P.O.V.

She's just so pretty and adorable when she's asleep. To be honest, I've always liked Nicky. I've had the biggest crush on her since the day we met. Our mom's knew each other and thought it would be a good idea for us to be friends and turns out we didn't just become friends we became best friends and that's what matters because we grew up together and she understands what I'm going threw and I understand her. "Goodnight Nickels, I love you." I laugh at my own nickname I gave her. When I was little, I didn't really know how to pronounce her name so instead of Nichole I call her Nickels like the coin and she would always call me Matt or Matty.
