It was one of the days when everything seemed so perfect and it felt like nothing negative was going to affect her no matter what anyone said or what anyone did  but she could only hope.  Unfortunately what she didn’t know was that she was about to receive the worst news she had ever heard in the 15years which she had lived. Her phone beeped which was a signal that a text message just came in, she turned around and was now laying on her stomach as she reached to pick her phone from the bed side table, it was from an unknown number and the text stated “SHE’S DEAD” all in block letters, this sent a shiver through her spine and her reaction to this was to drop her phone. She was confused, what was going on? She thought, who was dead? She started to get scared and tears began welling up in her eyes, she mentally smacked herself for being so emotional every time…… she couldn’t think straight, everything seemed so distant and foggy. She ran downstairs to use the house phone, her first instinct was to call mum, as the phone rang she quietly wished mum would actually pick up her call because she was used to dropping her phone somewhere and just forgetting about it, when mum finally picked up her phone all she said was “mum please come home now, I need you.”  Mrs Smythe was very worried, why would Sarah call her at this time of the day? When she picked up the phone her baby sounded scared and broken and she had asked her to come home immediately and she was planning to do just that even though it meant missing one of her board meetings, she could easily just send her assistant to re-present her. She quickly called the secretary and explained to her as she hurriedly ran to the car.

Sarah was sat down on her bed when mum got back home and she didn’t need to go downstairs because she knew her mum was going to rush upstairs to check that she was okay, she really hoped she hadn’t got her worried when she called. Mrs Smythe practically ran up the stairs and she was dishevelled when she saw her daughter in tears curled up on the floor, she started to contemplate what could have happened, there were so many ideas running through her head but she was so sure that Sarah hadn’t gotten into any trouble at school cause she never got into trouble and she didn’t have a boyfriend so she wasn’t heartbroken or anything relating to that. She crouched down next to her and hugged her, Sarah didn’t know when she started crying, giving out loud sobs as she snuggled closer into her mums hug. Mum started making soothing sounds to calm Sarah down, she seemed very upset and she wouldn’t be able to get anything out of her if she didn’t calm her down first. Mrs Smythe was worried because she had never really seen Sarah this upset in a very long time. Now this was the peak of it she was going to ask her what happened whether she wanted to talk about it or not but then again she wouldn’t have called her if she really didn’t want to talk about whatever happened. She carefully pried her away from her shoulder until they were sitting facing each other, she studied her face for a minute to find any clues but she didn’t  find any so she asked “Sarah do you want to tell mum what’s wrong?”
