Aliyah's P.O.V
"Get up already!" Miranda yelled at me from the living room of my parents two bedroom one bathroom apartment which they so kindly left for me.(image above is the apartment complex)
What the hell could she possibly want now? I thought as I rolled out of bed and got dressed in some high waisted jeans and a black crop-top with black vans to match. I then went to go see what miranda needed.
"Well good morning to you too." I sassed when I walked into the living room. She just rolled her eyes and threw me some spray paint and told me we needed to tag this building so that the majority of the civilians know to stay as far away as possible. You see that was the deal I made I'll help out with her, and her boyfriends "career choice" note the sarcasm, as long as we tag the places that we were going to hit so that the calateral damage wouldn't be so high.
"Let's get going already I don't got all day." Miranda said making me grab the spray paint and putting it in my black backpack that was by the door so we could head out.
Antonio's P.O.V
I was at my desk finishing up the last of my paper work when Voight came out of his office letting the team know that our new case would be dealing with the two rival gangs The Knights and The Latin Kings. He had also handed us the file on the case. I couldn't help but think of how most gangs don't usually let the other gangs know which stash house they are going to be hitting.
"Antonio hey buddy you still with us?" Jay said pulling me out of my thoughts. "Yeah sorry I was just thinking why would The Knights let the Latin Kings know which stash house they are going to hit?" I asked. "Who knows with gangs now a days" Jay said.
Even though nobody else seemed to think that the tags letting us know which house the Knights would be hitting was important I just knew that there was a reason behind it. So I told Burgess and Roman to keep an eye out for any teens tagging a knight(chess piece) on any building.
Aliyah P.O.V
Miranda and I have been waiting a good 30 minutes to an hour for the perfect opportunity to tag the building but there was still a few young kids playing football in the yard right next to the building we need to tag.
"Omg do they not get tired." Miranda complained. "Just give it a few more minutes and they'll be gone." I said not even caring how long I have to wait as long as I'm keeping a few people out of harms way I could wait here a few more days just to make sure the kids, teens, and anyone else not involved in this life can be safe.
Soon after my comment they had left, and Miranda and I got to work. "I don't even get why you want to tag the place and let them know we are coming." Miranda said with annoyance in her voice. "Huh I don't know? Maybe because innocent bystanders could get hit in the crossfire!" I responded my voice holding anger along with annoyance behind it.
"Whatever helps you sleep at night I guess." Miranda said as we finished up taging the wall. I was about to give her one of my smart ass remarks when we heard someone yell "Chicago Police don't move put your hands where I can see them!" You got to be fucking kidding me. I thought while another officer handcuffed me and miranda and put us in the back of the police cruiser.
"We wouldn't be in this mess if you had just let us do it without tagging the damn place." Miranda kept saying. "Shut up already we can't do shit about it now!!!" I shot back with obvious annoyance in my voice. Damn this is going to be one long ass car ride. I thought to myself.
I was right the car ride was fucking long because all you could here was miranda complaining on how it was my fault we were in this mess. Well the bright side of all this is that we finally arrived and the 21st precinct and also miranda finally shut up, but when I turned to miranda to try and make up a convincing lie to why we were tagging the building I froze. "Oh fuck we are in some deep deep shit miranda." I whisper shouted.
"What makes you say that?" She asked her voice full of sarcasm. "Well I could be seeing things but I'm pretty sure that's Hank Voight the dirty cop that nobody wants to be on his bad side." I said as calm as I could while I saw miranda's eyes widen when she turned and saw him too.
So while me and miranda were having a small panic attack the two officers that brought us in had I guess contacted one of the detectives because next thing I know is I'm in an interrogation room on the second floor also known as Voight's unit. Fuck I'm in so much shit right now. I thought while I knew they were probably watching me through that dumb one way glass to see how I'm acting right now.
Antonio's P.O.V
I was at my desk looking over the file and doing research to see how far back the Knights had been tagging there hit sights but the thing is they just started tagging last year like why just start all of a sudden. Gangs usually stick to one thing they don't decide to change things up out of no where. I was deep in thought when my desk phone started ringing.
"Dawson" I answered. "Antonio. Burgess and Roman said that you wanted them to let you know if they caught anyone tagging a knight on buildings well they brought in two teens for you." Trudy Platt informed me so I went downstairs to get the teens for questioning.
A/N: I'm not really sure if this is good but if you guys want me to continue comment to let me know. Also Antonio is living alone and his ex wife doesn't allow the kids to come and see him just incase you were wondering.
