Ok guys please bear with me, this is my first Haikyuu fanfic and hopefully not my last. I hope it goes over well. Anyway, hope you all like it. p.s Send me pairings you guys want to read! >.<
Hinata sat there trying to figure out what the hell just happened. He swore he was doing everything right, so why? "Tch, I can't go to practice like this." With that he left, he didn't know where he was going but he just knew he could not go to the practice. He sent a text to Kageyama saying he was sick and would miss practice. Hinata, looked up at the blue sky and sighed remembering what just happened:
"Hinata...We need to talk." Maya said to him. He was already aware of what she wanted to say so he mentally prepared himself for the worse. He followed Maya to the back side of the school onto the field. "Maya, what's going on?" He watched her movements carefully she seemed to be very hesitant but she then reached for the back of her neck and took off the locket and handed it back to him. "I know this is probably very sudden but, I just... I don't like you the way I thought I did. Hinata, I'm sorry." Hinata looked down and his shoulders slumped matching the grim aura that was probably surrounding him at this point. "Well... I hope you and him are happy together. I was warned that you were most likely cheating...Is it true? You know it's stupid for me to ask when I already know the answer. Come to think of it..." Maya looked away ashamed that she didn't have the courage to tell him sooner. When she looked up she was met with this face:

She knew this face from afar but now up close, she knew why people feared it. His solemn expression but his eyes were so intense they could strike fear into anyone. Hinata sighed and said witha voice so calm that it was scary,"Maya, I thought things between us were going well. Then you had to go and cheat. I went to all of your events when you asked, I came to help you babysit, I made sure to always make time for you. You know, I had a hunch something was going on when you stopped coming to cheer me on at games. But want to know what really hit me? The fact that today I saw you kissing one of our classmates," Maya's eyes went wide, "Hinata you saw..." "Oh I'm not done yet, Maya. I know you also had sex with him. But even after all of this... I wanted to stay with you." He sighed once more and gave her a box she shook her head, "Hinata I can't take any gifts from..." "This one was a birthday gift I was planning to give you either way." He gave her the box and walked off. She opened it to see it was a necklace that she had really wanted from a trinket shop. Before she could chase after him... He was gone.
Hinata was now by the river not too far from the school and it was nightfall. He sat in the grass and looked up at the stars, he contacted his mom and told her he would be home late along with what happened, what he didn't tell her is that he skipped out on practice and now his team mates were looking for him.
"Any luck?" Daichi asked and everyone shook their heads. At that moment Kageyama came running, "I found him! But I think we should leave him alone... He's not his normal happy self." It was at this point everyone walked behind Kageyama to see what he meant. They saw Hinata at the river and all of them were shocked with what they saw. They saw Hinata not only staying still but, he didn't have that aura that glows around him. It was almost like looking into the depths of darkness and not finding anything except for loneliness. Daichi walked down to Hinata, "Hinata... Are you ok?" Hinata looked back at Daichi with puffy red eyes, he's been crying for quite sometime now and Daichi knelt down and hugged him. "You know you should of come to us... I'm sorry for what happened." With that Hinata started crying all over again. He had forgotten that this is a team of people who actually care. All Hinata could manage was repeating the word sorry at that time.
The other members then slowly began coming down, careful not to push Hinata too far. After a few laughs and hugs, they all parted ways. The only two left were Kageyama and Hinata. "Hinata, I know you really did care about her but, maybe she was just not right for you. But I really am sorry that happened. Come on, I'll walk you home." With that Hinata nodded and they walked in a comforting silence to his house.
