Well, here I go.
Next day at school, Hinata avoided Kageyama like the plague. He knew last night after he got home he dropped the note in the gym, "He must of seen it. Oh dear god why..?" As he was pondering how to get out of practice, he bumped into (You guessed it guys! XD) Kageyama. "Hey Hinata, I need to talk to you." Kageyama said with his normal emotionless voice. Hinata nodded and followed him to the gym. They were thirty minutes early which was plenty of time. Kageyama handed the note back to Hinata and Hinata's face was red. "Before you ask, Yes I read it. I thought it was a grocery list. Once I began reading the contents, I could not stop. You know you are a really sweet person. But the line that stuck with me was, 'You are the sun that illuminates my sky when I feel all alone in the dark.' So who is it?"
Hinata sighed and looked at him, "you want me to be honest?" Kageyama nodded wanting to know who the lucky person was. Hinata pointed to Kageyama, "You Kageyama. To be fully honest with you, I've felt like this for as long as I can remember, and now that you've read this, Maya really has nothing to use on me. But I already know how you feel and it's fine. I've already thrown my feelings to the side. Not only for the sake of the team but also for our weird friendship." Hinata was looking down shaking trying his hardest not to cry. Kageyama had nothing to say except, "Hinata I actually..." "Stop right there Kageyama. It doesn't matter, I'll get over it. Anyway I have to get going. I have to study if we want to be in that game this weekend. Later." Hinata ran out of there before even hearing Kageyama out. He was certain that he would be rejected so he saved himself the embarrassment and just went home to shed his tears in private.
Back at practice, Kageyama couldn't help but think about Hinata's final state as he left. He was not sure but he was fairly certain Hinata was on the brink of tears. Being lost in his thoughts, Kageyama was hit with the ball and he heard Tanaka laughing. He glared back at Tanaka who sighed, "what has you so occupied that you can't even focus on practice?" Kageyama shook it off and focused, he could think about the Hinata situation later. Daichi tried getting a hold of Hinata one final time and sighed, "his phone is off. He must be really serious about studying this time. Kageyama! You should head home and study as well. We can finish up practice here without you." Kageyama nodded and excused himself to go study, but first he had to know if Hinata was okay.
Hinata was sitting there studying and heard a knock on his door, "Come in." He was met a mane of Orange hair in his face, "Big brother are you otay?" He nodded and patted her on the head, "Big brother has a very important test coming up and has to study so he can play volleyball. Okay?" Natsu (yes that is her name. Google it if you don't believe me) nodded and walked out. Hinata let out a heavy sigh and fell back to lay on his carpet, "It's weird... Maya was my first real girlfriend and I did care about her. Yeah it hurt when we broke up but damn... I never dated Kageyama and feel like my heart was separated into shreds... Maybe I should once again put my feelings to the side seeing they only cause trouble. I'm not one to really think of things like love and sadness... Alright!" He stood and squished his cheeks together and heard his sister seconds later, "Big bother is studying! I can't let you see him angry man!" Hinata's eyes grew wide, "Let him in Natsu, he's a classmate and team member!" Natsu regrettably let him through and Kageyama bowed before entering Hinata's room.
Hinata looked up from his previous tests and notes, Kageyama noticed that his grades were much higher since the last time he saw his test scores, 'He went from F's to A's and B's in such short time... And his notes are impeccable... all this time I thought he was joking.' Kageyama thought to himself. Hinata cleared his throat and Kageyama looked over, "So what is it you need?" Kageyama explained how Daichi made him leave to study and asked Hinata to tutor him. Hinata sighed, "I guess I can help you out. I mean you are our star setter. Take a seat." Hinata gestured to the chair by his desk.
Literally hours went by and Kageyama refused to admit it but, he understood everything when Hinata was explaining it. He looked up from his notes to look at Hinata who was still going on about the Feudal Era, "And in 1952..." Kageyama stood up which caused Hinata to stop what he was saying, "K-Kageyama..?" "Hinata, I understand everything now except one thing... Why the hell did you run off?" Hinata froze for a moment and took a few steps back to put space between them, "I ran because I already knew you would reject me. I mean come on we barely get along as friends, so how the hell would we work as a couple?" Kageyama stayed silent knowing that Hinata was about to ramble out a lot of information. "I actually started dating Maya because she black mailed me, she said if I didn't, she would tell the entire school that I had a thing for you. But after a while I began to fall for her. When she cheated on me yeah it hurt and I mean really hurt. Then the next day she came to me wanting me back and then there is the fact you and I kissed and just..." Hinata flopped onto his bed not wanting to finish that statement. Kageyama sighed and pulled the chair to sit right in front of him, "Hinata... you think too much." Kageyama then did something he really tried not to do this entire time, he climbed onto Hinata's bed, and pinned him. Seeing Hinata blush did something to him that he can't explain but he then leaned in closer and kissed him with all the passion he had. 'I hate the fact I can't keep my hands off you. If you only knew how I felt, then I could do this more often.' Kageyama thought
