Chapter 20

Chloe's pov

I froze. UM... WHAT????!!!!!!

"I'm sorry Chloe! I know you like him. I just... We have a lot in common. That's all! I might not even like him, I don't know. If you don't want me too, I'll forget about this crush right now. Just tell me!" Ella said, sitting up.

"No! It's fine!" I lied. It sort of killed me. Niall and I are just friends but when I thought he was cheating, it really hurt me. If my best friend liked him, I guess that was ok. I didn't even no why I cared so much. Niall and I don't have a 'thing'. We're just best friends, that's all, I think.

"Are you sure? I won't try anything! I promise!" Ella said, lying back down and getting comfy.

"Niall and I have nothing El. You can go out with him if you want!" I said, before hearing a faint snore from Ella's bed.

Rosie and I woke up the next morning to find Ella's bed empty.

"Where is she?" Rosie asked, unknowing of the conversation Ella and I had last night.

"I don't know!" I said, confused.

"Well, we better be getting to class!"

I wondered to my Art class while Reanna travelled the other way to Science.

I walked past the English building and spotted Ella, on her phone.

She giggled at whoever was on the other line and soon hung up and entered the building, obviously going to her first class. She loved English.

Who was she on the phone to?

Ella's pov

I sat next to Nathan in English. Not bad, considering I could have been sitting next to Zac, the boy in our year who thought her was all that.

"Alright?" Nath asked.

"Yeah, you?" I asked back, begging to take down notes about Shakespeare as our teacher, Miss Wood, started to tell us them.

"Yeah good. Who were you talking to outside?" He asked, leaning in with the suspense.

"Um, how do you know I was even talking to anyone Nath?"

" 'Cas I could hear you."

"Oh. No one, why?"

"Just 'cas." He ended.

We spent the next two hours annotating Shakespeare and then the bell went, signalling break.

"Bye Nathan!" I smiled as he left.

"See ya babe!" He chirped before leaving the building. Babe?

He called me babe?

Um excuse me?

"Hey!" Chloe said, meeting me at the lockers where we normally meet.

"Hey! Nath just called me babe! Weird huh!"

"Yeah. So Niall, huh?" She asked, wiggling her eyebrows at me.

His name made my heart flutter. No. I didn't like him. He doesn't like me. That's it.

"Um, yeah!" I replied.

"Cool." Chloe mumbled.

"Cool." I repeated.


A/N: Sorry this wasn't very eventful.

And, sorry there isn't any of the boy's povs. There will be in the next chapter.

This was kind of a filler.
