Nathaniel's POV

I was at this amazing restaurant on an amazing date with an amazing girl. Nothing can go wrong. Me and Jewel were chatting up a storm. Laughing, sometimes even tearing up. But every time I looked in her eyes, I knew I had to be with this girl for the rest of my life. She then spoke the words I just loved to hear because of how funny it was.
"Nath, will you ever stop loving me?"
She said it in a sort of sad tone.
"Only when I have my feelings removed from my soul."
She giggled. All of a sudden I heard the window next to us shatter. I looked back at Jewel seeing her lying on the ground gushing blood from her head. She was knocked out cold.
"Je-Jewel?!"
I started crying and shaking her accidentally. I was shaking myself so that's why. People were calling the paramedics left and right as I couldn't shake my own tears. She wasn't moving. She wasn't doing anything. Not even breathing. And then the paramedics came. They took her away and I drove with her. They wouldn't let me in her hospital room until I lied that I was her brother. I walked inside shaking. I read her clipboard. Jewel was in a serious coma. She was as good as dead.
