Atticus POV*
As Michael, Veronica, Cassy, and I reached the park Michael shoved me. So that's how he wants to play. Bring it on. I chased after him.
"Get back here!" I shouted at him.
"Never! So you can kiss my as..... OW!" Michael ran into a tree.
I stopped and stared at him. He was on the ground facing upwards with a dazed expression. I busted out laughing. I laughed so hard my sides stated hurting.
"Oh my god. Ha ha ha ha. You..You ran into a tree. Hahaha." I laughed at him bending over.
"What the F#!k just happend?" Michael asked.
"Dumbass. You ran into a tree," I chuckled at him,"And im the one with glasses."
"Whatever. Just help me up." He stook out his hand. I shook my head at him. I Grabed his hand and lifted him up. He grabed his head from the motion.
"Smart move, Beta." I snorted at him.
"Well if you haven't been chasing me.....Hold up. Do you hear that?" He stoped suddenly.
I listened closely to any sound. There! It was the sound of a girl crying. Maybe two. I looked at Michael with my eyebrows raised.
"Is someone crying?"
"Ya. It sounds like two girls." He said.
All of the sudden I felt a wave of sadness wash over me. It felt like my heart was breaking. I asked James ,my wolf, Why I suddenly felt like that.
"It's our mate. She's upset." James replied.
"Cassy!" I told/shouted at Michael. His eyes widened.
We look around. There she was sitting under a tree next to some girl hugging her. They both seemed to be crying. I shoved Michaels shoulder pointing over at them.
"Dude where are you going?" Michael asked me.
I walked towards my mate and the girl. It pained me to see her like this.
"Cassy?" She looked up. There were tears down her face. Her nose, eyes, and cheeks were red. The girl next to her looked up as well. She was rather pretty but looked like Cassy with the tears.
"Ya?" She sniffed. The girl next to her scooted closer clutching to her jacket.
"Are you alright?" I crouched down infront of both of them.
"No." Tears welled up in her eyes.
"Are you alright?" I asked the girl next to her. She shook her head no.
"Oh im sorry. Im Atticus." I put my hand out. She looked at my hand. Then up at me.
"Amber." She said in a small voice. She shook my hand while still holding onto Cassy.
"That's a really pretty name." I told her.
"Thank you." She mumbled hiding her face in Cassy's shoulder.
I looked up at Cassy. She had a small smile. Its amazing how she acts around kids. She would make a great mother. All of the sudden I heard a small kid calling Amber's name.
"Amber!Amber!" The little kid came running towards us.
He had Red curly hair and Blue eyes. Most likely the little brother of Amber. Amber looked up and sighed. She stood up. The little kid came running and hugged her waist. Amber picked him up.
"Guys this is Daniel. He's my little brother. Daniel say hi. This is Cassy and Atticus." Amber had a small smile on her face. At least she's not crying.
"Hi. Im 6." Daniel said waving his hand.
"Hey Buddy." I said messing up his hair. He pouted and fixed it.
"Hi Daniel. Why aren't you a cutie." Cassy said tapping his nose with a finger. He smiled up at her. I'll admit I am a bit jealous.
"Amber I wanna go home." Daniel said turning to his sister. Amber sighed but nodded.
"Alright. Bye guys. " Amber hitched up Daniel and started walking.
"Wait Amber!" Cassy said stopping Amber.
"Ya?" Amber turned around. Cassy jogged up to her.
"Do you have a phone?" Cassy asked her.
"Yes. Why?" Amber tilted her head to the side.
"Give me. Im gonna put my number just in case. Alright?" Cassy stretched out her hand.
"Sure." Amber took her phone out of her back pocket while still holding onto Daniel. She handed Cassy her phone. Cassy put in her number and passed it back.
"Here you go. Make sure to call me whenever. And I mean whenever."
"Yes mam." Amber saluted her.
"Ill see you later, Alright." Cassy brought Amber and Daniel in for a hug.
"Bye Cassy. Bye Atticus." Amber waved at me before leaving. I waved back.
I walked up to Cassy and put my arm around her shoulders. She stiffened then leaned into my side. I heard her sigh a little. I smirked.
"Ready to go?" I looked down at her.
"Sure." She looked up at me and smiled.
