I was currently sitting on Mark's couch, watching a random show on TV. I was skipping through channels and landed upon this show, which seemed to be about a rather obese man. I didn't bother changing it. There was a line that sort of resonated with me.

"Well, I know we met, like, last week, but do you wanna go on a date or something?"

The simple line sent me into a tunnel of deep thoughts. What if Mark and I were moving too fast? I mean, we met four days ago. Despite my obvious attraction and overwhelming draw to him and the clear fact that everything feels so right, what if it's wrong?

Everything so far had felt beyond perfect. Absolutely correct. But just because something feels correct doesn't mean it is correct.

"What are you watching?" Mark asked, sitting next to me and drawing me out of my thoughts. He wrapped his arm around my shoulder and pulled me closer. When I didn't answer or snuggle closer to him, he looked at me, a worried expression on his face. "Are you okay, Sean?"

I shrugged, not looking at him. "Mark, are we moving to fast?"

I knew my question would catch him off guard, and it did. "What do you mean?"

"I mean, we met four days ago. And now, look how many hickeys I have all over my neck! I just feel like things are going too fast and that we'll mess up somehow."

Mark sighed and removed his arm from my shoulder. He turned his body so that we were facing each other, and he grabbed my hand. "Sean, I dislike your lack of confidence in our relationship. I know. I know we're moving fast. But there's something about you that makes me feel like it's right. I don't feel like we'll mess up from moving so fast. When I first laid my eyes on you on Monday, I just simply craved to get to know you. I wanted to talk to you so bad, Sean, you have no idea. You were on my mind all day. When we started talking, I knew you were different than just anybody else. You understood and listened and you made me feel so alive. You still do. Simply just by talking to me. You were on my mind all night, all day, every single second. When you first came over, I had to refrain myself from just putting my hands all over you. You are irresistible to me. When I learned you felt the same way as I did, words cannot describe how happy that made me. It felt like every moment of my life had been leading up just to that moment. Our first kiss has never left my mind. The feelings surrounded it still linger in my chest. Sean, I know were moving too fast. But everything feels so right. I'll slow down if you want me to, I won't cross any barrier you don't want me to. I adore every second with you. If you want me to slow down, tell me. I'm in this for the long run. I want you and only you."

I stared at him, with tears stinging the back of my eyes. I felt like I was floating on pure happiness. Nobody had ever seemed or been so caring in my entire life, and I felt so loved in that moment. A smile spread across my face as I crawled onto his lap.

My legs cradled his hips, and I wrapped my arms around his neck. "You're gonna make me cry," I spoke gently. "I don't want to slow down, I was  just worried we're going to fast. I don't know. I'm sorry for bringing it up."

He wrapped his arms around me and rubbed my back softly. "It's okay. We would of had this conversation eventually. Now, how about I make some dinner and you take a bath?" I hummed and kissed his neck.

"All right."

When I left the bathroom, the air smelled delicious. It reminded me of an Italian restaurant. I smiled and inhaled deeply, walking to the kitchen eagerly. Mark was grabbing a plate out of the cabinet when I walked in.

"Hey," I said, catching his attention. He smiled and set the plate down.

Walking over to me, he placed his hands on my waist and pulled me closer to him. "Darn, I was hoping you'd walk out in a towel again." He snickered with a smirk and I laughed. "Kidding, kidding."

"Sure you are." He smiled and leaned in to kiss me, and I leaned into it more. He pulled away before it could escalate.

"Come on, let's eat." He grabbed my hand and we walked towards the counter. "I'm not the best cook, but I can make spaghetti!"

I smiled at him as he looked proud. "It smelled great."

He hummed in agreement, then said, "So do you." I playfully punched his arm as he handed me a plate. He smiled at me and I took the plate out of his hand. I let him get his food first, and I scooped a portion of the noodles onto my plate.

We walked over to the dining table and sat down. Dinner was silent mostly. Every now and then we would say something, but we were too busy eating to focus on a conversation. When we finished, we stayed at the table and had a small conversation. I complimented his cooking, which he dismissed the compliment. He said it's the only meal he can cook without instructions, but he would never learn how to make it from scratch.

He started to laugh and I did as well. Stretching my legs out, I felt my foot bump against his. "Oops, my bad," I said as our laughter died out.

"Just don't be a fucking tease like you were in class today." I started laughing as I began to run my foot up his leg as a joke. "Jesus, Sean. We have one more day of school before Friday, I'm sure you can calm down," he laughed out.

I smiled playfully and continued to drag my foot up his leg. He stiffened a bit. "I know. But teasing you is fun," I said with a wink. He stood up from the table without a warning and cause my foot to fall flat on the ground. He grabbed our plates and set them in the sink.

Before he walked out of the kitchen, he turned around and looked at me. "Come on, it's time to sleep." I looked at the clock, confused. It was only 7:50 pm. Why was he heading to bed so early?

I didn't ask him about it. With a small groan, I stand up from my chair and head towards the bedroom. He was laying on his back in the bed, the covers still made. I walked over and plopped myself onto the bed next to him. Before I realized it, he rolled over on top of me.

His head moved towards my cheek, right about my jaw line, and started to kiss the skin. The kisses moved towards my lips, and I immediately started to kiss him back. His tongue slipped into my mouth, licking the roof of my mouth and the back of my teeth. I lifted my hands to the hem of his shirt and started to pull it off. Pulling away from the kiss, he impatiently removed his shirt.

He placed his hands on my hips and leaned back down, but he didn't kiss me. His head went to the crook of my neck and he sighed heavily. "Damn it, Sean," he whispered against my skin. "I want you. So bad."

Those five words made my stomach do a flip, and I tossed my head back against the pillow. I wrapped my arms around his torso. "I know. I want you just as bad."

Mark inhaled a hitch breath. "Maybe we should just go to bed. It'll make tomorrow come faster."

I laughed softly and nodded. "Okay."
