"hey mum! good morning" luke said to his mother as he walked downstairs, trying not wake his brothers, jack and ben, who had fell asleep playing ps4 the night before

"good morning Lucas. how did you sleep?" his mother asked

"pretty good, Michael is sill upstairs. he's just showering"

"okay. hey luke. listen. we need to talk" his mother said

"about what? is everything okay?!" luke was really worried, he didnt know what she was talking about. but he sure wasnt ready to hear what his mum said to him

"luke.. are you.. uh... are you gay?" she asked

"what! no! i like girls!" lukes face grew bright red

"really? you can tell me"

"no i swear im not"

"okay. i just thought maybe michael was your boyfriend"

"what, mom, ew no! mikes like a brother to me!!"

"okay! its okay, no need to get so defensive"

"well umm. actually mom.. there is something i need to tell you while we are on this topic.."

"aw what is it honey? you can tell me anything baby"

"i umm.. i am, uh.. gay. im gay.. i like boys, not girls.." luke teared up

"aw its okay honey, i completely support you in all ways okay! me and your father love you no matter who you choose to love"

luke took a deep breathe in relief  and hugged his mother

"oh my god thank you so much mom i love you too. i was scared you were gonna hate me!"

"oh honey i could never ever ever hate you!!" his mother kissed his forehead

"thanks"

"of course. but, i hope you know that means your door must be kept open at all times now" she laughed

"haha i know mum" luke laughed with her

all of a sudden michael walked down

"good morning michael" lukes mother said

"hey. whats going on here? luke why do you look like you were crying?" michael asked suspiciously

"yeah. um, she knows im gay" luke smiled

"oh really? congrats buddy! you did it"

"yeah i did" luke smiled and hugged his best friend

"so.. are you guys like, dating?" his mum asked

"no. Michael's straight" luke said

"no im not" michael said

"i know that dumbass but it would still be nice to have sleepovers with my best friend without being checked on every 5 minutes!" Luke playfully slapped mike

"i trust you two, i will leave you guys alone" his mother said

"so, did you tell her about "mr. Irwin" yet?!" Michael teased

"no, were not dating so it doesnt matter. we barely talk and i dont even know his first name yet"

"so. shell be happy for you"

"well, shell have to wait" luke continued walking down the street

"okay lover boy"
