Chapter 3 | The Investigation

(A/n Blackstar and Tsubaki does not live with Mina. They only visit Mina a lot.)

Mina's POV

"Okay, Mina. We have a mission for you," Blackstar said while we are now in the hideout with BTS. "You'll be doing this alone. Not with us. Your mission is to go into 'The Women's' said house and look for any clues on her next target. And any clues that's anything about her. It'll be great if you find out about her identity. Just don't get caught by anyone that's in her place. You will go today when you're ready. Her place is not that far from here," Blackstar told me while getting the stuff I need, ready. "Okay, I'll go now. Wish me luck!" I replied confidently. "Don't get caught!" BTS shouted at me. I gave them a 'duh' look. I looked back at Blackstar. He handed me a piece of paper that has an address on it. "Just be careful, okay? I don't know if she's home or not or if anyone's home at her place," he stated looking at me worriedly. I nodded and smiled. "See you later~!" I waved at him while pulling my mask up. He waved back.

Time skip

'Hm. So this is the house. Looks pretty big. Not mansion size, but pretty big.' Good thing I have my mask on just incase they have cameras since its kind of big. I thought of a way to get in, but before that, I checked if there were any cars in its parked place. 'No cars.' That could mean that no one's here. I looked around the house that's on the outside. The lowest level of windows aren't that low. I can just get on something and get in. Lucky for me, there was a garbage bin right under, but next to, one of the windows. I looked through the window first to see if there's anyone nearby inside the place. 'All clear.' I swiftly got in without any sound. I should check the basement first since I'm probably closer to it than the attic. Its good that this floor doesn't make any noises when you walk. Once I got to the basement, it was locked. I took out my bobby pin, from my hair, and easily unlocked it. Once I got in, I locked it again, just like how it was in the beginning when I first came here.

This room looks like an office. I quickly checked through some files and on top of the desk, quietly. "Kim ChanWoo and Kim JiYoo," I read. Kim. Isn't that Taehyungs last name? They're probably not related because there's a whole lot of Kim's in this world. I looked through a book that seems to be like a diary. "The Kim's are now working for me since I have Park HyungSik murdered and not by my side anymore. Their son doesn't know that they're working for me but I don't care. At least we killed the Oh's. Next is their daughter that will be gone." They mean me, right? I angrily gripped the book. Not until I get you first. I looked through this room some more. Passports? I checked through them. "Park Bomi." Wait, Bomi?! She lives here? Does that mean her parents killed my parents? Does she even know that her parents are murderous? Damn, I got a lot of questions. I looked back at the diary looking if there's Bomi's name on one of the pages. She has to be somewhere in this diary. 'Found it.' Let's see what she has done. "Oh, my dear, Bomi. She is such a wonderful daughter. She obeys me even though I tell her to kill people. Especially the mayor of Seoul. I enjoyed that the best. I will soon ask her to kill the Oh's daughter. That will be my next favorite. Too bad I don't know what their daughter looks like. I bet she'll look wonderful when she's dead. Blood everywhere. Just like how her parents had looked like when we killed her." So Bomi has done some killings. Seems like she's not innocent at all. She has to be killed for killing the mayor.

*click*

"Shit." I thought no one was here. I quickly, but quietly, hid right inside this big closet. "Yes, mommy. I'm looking. I'm looking. How can you forget who your next target is. Shouldn't it be on your mind since you're about to kill them the next two days? Their last name is the Song's. You know where they live right? Okay, bye mommy. I love you. *beep* Ugh. She never says 'I love you' back." She left, being pissed. I have to get out now, before I get caught by her.

Time skip

"Blackstar! I have a lot of news to tell you, but I'm sorry that I couldn't find out who exactly 'The Woman' is." I said looking around avoiding eye contact. He looked at me, taking out his notepad. "Okay, go on, and it's okay. You at least have a hint since you said that you don't know exactly." He's right. I told him all the things that I have found out so far. Too bad I didn't find out who exactly 'The Woman' is though. That kind of let my guard down. Knowing that I didn't really complete the mission. "So this Bomi girl. She's in your school right? Same year?" Blackstar questioned. "Yeah.." I replied looking down, nodding also. "You do know that you'll have to assassinate her, right? Because she did kill the mayor and they didn't found out who had killed him. She maybe could've killed some innocent lives. So you have to do it. Oh and plus she is the daughter of the parents that murdered your parents." I nodded understandingly looking back up at him. "I understand I have to kill her but wouldn't people, at school, say that she suddenly disappeared? What if suddenly they ask me about it and I get all suspicious? I would be a goner." I asked then stated, worriedly. "Yeah, they probably would ask, but she deserves it, and it's okay, you are a good actor yourself." Blackstar reassured looking deadly serious, but then putting a smile on when he said that last statement. I nodded again. "Okay, I'll do it for sure now." I smiled looking up at him. BTS weren't here. They probably already left to go home. Now it was my turn to head home.
