Chapter 8 | Plan?

Mina's POV

"Jae?!"

We all shouted with widened eyes. "Oh. Hey guys!" He smiled all casually holding a bag. "Why the hell are you here?!" I shouted, holding my shirt on the area of where my heart is. 'I think I just had a mini heart attack since I thought that he was going to be the Kim's.' "Oh, so you're my partners," he figured out while scratching his chin. "What?!" We all shouted. Then Blackstar comes in the room while wiping his tired looking eyes. "What's with all the noise?" He groggily said, finally looking up. "I don't know! You tell us!" I yelled getting all confused with frustration. He then looked around the room, then spotted his eyes on Jae. "Oh. Hey, Jae! How was your trip overseas?" Blackstar said sounding casual. 'What's with it being all casual and stuff when it's not?!' I grabbed my hair in confusion. Blackstar then rubbed his neck. "Heh. Sorry I've never told you this, but Jae, here, is an assassin too," he smiled nervously. I twitched my eyes. "Is there anyone else that we might know that's an assassin too?" I questioned with my best calm voice. "No," he said with a straight face. I nodded while staring at him closely. "Okay," I said, satisfied.

Once Blackstar left to go into his office, I looked at Jae. "So, Jae. When did you start being an assassin?" I asked, being interested in his answer even though it might be the same reason as our reasons. Or at least close. "When my parents passed away," he answered looking down. I nodded. "Well, welcome back to the squad!" I smiled while hugging him. "Thanks."

"Are you also going to sleep here?" I asked curiously while looking at his bag. "Well, yeah. I guess," he shrugged. We all cheered. Especially Hoseok and Jimin.

Next day

"Hey, guys!" Bora called out while going up to us. "Hey, bora," we all said at the same time followed by a smile. Bora eyes Taehyung since he's right next to me. "Oh? I see that you've made up," she smiled. I smiled back. "Yup!" She looked up at me. "Wow, Mina. That's the brightest smile I've ever seen on you. Is it because of... Taehyung?" She smirked. Right when she said that, I gave her a blank stare. "Of course not. We're only friends," I rolled my eyes. She hummed. "Let's go!"

During class, Jae decided to sit next to Yoongi. Yoongi didn't mind since that was the only empty seat left. "Hey, Mina?" Taehyung called out. I hummed. "Can I borrow a pencil?" He asked, bringing out his hands. I nodded. "Here you go-" he interrupted me by thanking me with a hug. "U-uh," I just shook my head. "Never mind."

I heard some giggling up front. 'Ugh. Bet it was Jungkook and Bora.' After class, Jungkook and Bora teased Taehyung and I. "Guys, look. There's a new couple in school," Jungkook called out to the others, pointing at me and Taehyung. They all had a smirk plastered on their faces. "Oh leave them alone. They're not a couple... yet," Jin teased. I was about to agree with him until he said 'yet'. "What the heck, guys?" I questioned feeling pissed. "What? We did see you and Taehyung hug, right?" Bora said with her arms crossed. "I-I mean, I did let him borrow a pencil," I stated. 'Damn it. Why did I just stutter?!' I mentally cursed at myself. They all had a raised eyebrow pointed at me. Taehyung backed me up. "And I guess I just hugged her because I was very thankful. And because you know the teacher would've scolded me for not having a pencil with me since that's how she is," he said while looking away at their glances. They all hummed with the same smirk on their faces.

Time skip

"What do you guys want to do?" Bora asked once everyone was at the schools gate. I would go follow Bomi and assassinate her but Blackstar didn't say that I should do it today. 'Should I do it either way? Because that would make up my failed missions.'

"Mina~?" I widened my eyes. "Huh? Oh. It's just you," I said to Bora. "Yeah, it's me. Who'd you thought I was?" She asked then smirked. "Taehyung?" She asked. I looked at her then glared. "No," I said ever so coldly. She put her arms up in defense. "Okay, okay."

"Hey, you guys. We should all go on vacation this spring break," Namjoon called out. We all looked at him, questionably. "Where?" Yoongi simply questioned. "I don't know. Since it's warm out, maybe to the beach?" Namjoon suggested, more like asked. We all smiled and nodded. "Call!"
