Camila's POV
I pulled up to the place where I was taking Normani. I climbed out of my car and ran around to her side. I opened the door for her and she stepped out. I swear she looked just like a runway model climbing out of my car like that.

"Why are we at the beach?" Normani asked me, looking around then at me as I closed the car door,"You're not going to kill me, are you?"

"I waited 6 years for you, Normani Kordei. Why would I kill you now that I've just got you?" I asked my beautiful date as I placed my hand on the small of her back. 

"6 years?!" Normani asked incredulously, I laughed as I led her onto the sand and to where I had our date set up,"You've liked me for 6 years!"

"Yes indeed. Since the 7th grade. Since I was 13, I have lo,- liked you. I remember the first time I saw you, it was also the first time I met you," I said as we walked,"It was the first day of the 7th grade. You were in my Homeroom class. You were new and super nervous. When you walked into the room that day I quickly decided that you were the most beautiful girl I had ever seen. I was instantly enamored by you. I knew that I had to talk to you. And I did."

Then Normani started laughing.

"I remember that day! You walked up to me at lunch when I was with Ally and Zendaya at their table. You had a glass of chocolate milk and you ended up spilling it all over yourself after tripping on air," Normani was now a giggling mess and I began blushing,"You were such a cute and stuttering mess as I helped you up. Then you ran away from me blushing just like you are now."

Normani poked my side, giggling and I rolled my eyes and grabbed her hand.

"It's not funny," I whined dramatically,"I was so embarrassed. I literally thought I was going to die."

"But you didn't. And now you've got me. Aren't you a lucky one, MilkGirl?" Normani giggled, I rolled my eyes at my seventh grade nickname.

"Shut up or I won't feed you,"  I said, glaring at the girl beside me.

"Fine fine. Speaking of food? Are we wherever we're supposed to be yet? I'm hungry," Normani whined. I laughed and nodded my head.

"Look," I jerked my head and Normani turned her head to look in the direction I jerked my head. Then she gasped, placing her hand over her mouth in surprise. I bit my lower lip nervously as I watched her reaction,"Do you like it?"

"Do I like it?" Normani asked me incredulously,"No Camila, I completely hat,-yes I like it!"

I smiled at that. I had tried to set up the most perfect date. I had laid out blankets and set food and drinks on it. I also used pillows and lantern to surround the blankets.

I was caught by surprise when Normani threw her arms around my neck, burying her face in my neck. I grinned and wrapped my arms around her waist, holding her close.

"This has got to be the most cutest thing anyone has ever done for me," she said into my neck,"Thank you so much."

I smiled at that, loving that I was the first one to be this romantic with her. Not that I doubted I was to begin with. Arin didn't seem to have a romantic bone in his body.

"It was no problem at all, baby girl. You know I'd do anything for you," I said as I kissed the side of her head. Normani's stomach growled ruining the moment and I couldn't help but to laugh,"Someone's hungry."

Normani pulled away from me and giggled, rolling her eyes.

"Well duh, I'm a growing woman who does a lot. I need to eat to keep my energy up," Normani said. I grinned.

"Well luckily, I got your favorite," I walked over to the blanket and lifted up a container full of chicken wings.

"Holy shit! You remembered?!" Normani asked me as she walked over to me quickly.

"Of course I remembered. I listen, ya know?" I said, smiling softly.

"I know but it's crazy you remembered something so small," Normani said, she leaned over, grabbed me by the collar of my shirt and kissed me on the lips, she pulled away a little too quickly for my liking but her blinding smile made it all okay,"Thank you."

"Like I said. Anything for you, baby girl," I smiled at her.
