Chapter 2 - To the Mall!

**Emma's POV**

One year later...

I heard honking outside as I quickly put on my red leather jacket.

"I'm coming!" I yelled to the silver car outside.

I ran downstairs and said by to my mom and gave her a quick kiss on her check.

"Bye honey, be safe!" said mom when I was about to leave.

"Bye! I wil-" I got cut off when I slammed the front door.

I jumped in the back of the car as soon as the car started moving.

"What took you so long? We told you to be ready by nine!" said Zack as he was driving.

"I'm sorry. I accidentally put my alarm for eight pm not am so I woke up late."

That was the only excuse I could come up with. I mean I can't just say my shower door got stuck and I didn't get out until eight forty-five. I literally had to climb over the door and land on the cold bathroom floor that was five feet below me.

"That's ok. We understand." Layla said sweetly.

"Yeah but next time, don't leave me here alone with these two love birds." Nicole said while looking at Zack and Layla. Their cheeks started to turn a bright red. Nicole and I started laughing super loud.

In case anyone was wondering, after the funerals, Ethan, mom, and I moved to California to start a new life.  That meant a new school. It was pretty hard to fit in because it was in L.A. so there was a lot of rich people. Luckily I found Nicole, Layla, and Zack. We started becoming good friends even though they are all rich. I mean right now we are in Zack's convertible. Life couldn't get better than this!

"Where are we going?" Zack asked as if he didn't know.

I looked at Nicole and Layla and they both looked back at me.

"TO THE MALL!" we all yelled and then started laughing.

After a couple of silent minutes I leaned over and turned on the radio. Cake by the Ocean started playing and we all groaned. We like the song it's just that it plays way too much on the radio. My arm was starting to get tired so I sat back down. Zack noticed that my arm was tired so he changed the channel. He kept switching the channel until he suddenly stopped at one. Zack looked at Layla, Layla looked at Nicole, and then they all looked at me. At first I was confused but then I listened to the song. My head suddenly shot up.

"Oh no." said Zack.

Then all of a sudden, I started singing really loud.

"FLEX, TIME TO IMPRESS, COME ON CLIMB IN MY BED, DON'T BE SHY DO YOUR THING, IT'S ALL IN MY HEAD!" I sang super loudly. All my friends laughed and soon they started singing too. I have this huge obsession for Fifth Harmony. Harmonizer since 7/27/12.

We kept singing until we reached the mall. We quickly jumped out of the car and we went straight to Jamba Juice. My friends and I love Jamba Juice. We all get the same thing every time. Zack gets blueberry, Layla gets strawberry, Nicole gets orange, and I get mango.

After getting my juice I told my friends that I had to go to the bathroom and they said that they were going to be at Game Stop. I went to the bathroom trying not to drink too much of my juice because I would have to go to the bathroom again. As I was walking back I saw the cutest guy in the whole world. He had brown hair and blue eyes. My dream guy! He noticed that I was staring and looked back at me. I quickly turned away pretending that I wasn't. I leaned against the wall and sipped my drink trying to act casual. He started walking towards me. I tried to act like I didn't see him. Then, when he was right by me. he did something that no one would imagine.
