"Pop"
"Ah finally" I sighed looking at the toaster it was 7:3o on Monday morning and of course I was staring at food. Chocolate chip waffles to be exact.I sat my waffles on their dish and then headed to the pantry to get out the chocolate sauce when I heard my familiar doorbell telling me someone was at the door and wanted in. I walked over to the door still in my Pyjamas stuffing my face with waffles drenched in chocolate sauce and opened my dark wooden door.
Before me was my mother and my best friend Dylan though they were to busy talking to even notice my presence. "Oh Dylan your so sweet coming here to pick up daughter all the time" my mum said smiling warmly at my best friend of 15 years. "Of course Cathy, you know I love making sure Eliza gets school on time" Dylan replied wearing the same warm smile as my mother.
Typical I thought Dylan always acted like that in front of my mother saying he loved dropping me off please we both know that he only complaint comes here to get free breakfast. I cleared my throat alerting them that I was in fact standing right in front of them , both of them turned around and I greeted them with my usual cheeks puffed out 'I'm drowning my sorrows with food' expression.
Most girls wouldn't be caught dead doing this In front of a boy especially a boy like Dylan with his dark glinting green eyes even darker messy hair that was shaved at the sides and long at the top and not forgetting his smirk that thing could kill I'm still 100 percent convinced he took lessons in smiling/smirking he was a professional at it.
Literally it could kill, even making girls physically faint at the sight of it and he was good looking to and I'm not talking about kind of cute I'm talking drop dead gorgeous! He also had great style today he was wearing his usual dark blue T-shirt and leather jacket which he had paired with black skinny jeans and blue converse although I unlike all the other girls in our school was not totally in love with him.
Sure he was gorgeous and had a even more gorgeous body but I just didn't see him like that I mean I do love him but not the way they did I seen him as a friend well best friend nothing more nothing less Ive known him too long for it be anything else our mums had us on the same day and it just happens that they were had us in the same hospital their rooms right beside each-other and so they became best friends and had us go on long play dates the beach and park so we became best friends too.
"Hunny" my mum greeted me pulling me into her usual bear hug." Sorry did we disturb you I was coming home from my shift at the hospital and realised I forgot my keys and was waiting at the porch when Dylan showed up to drive use both to school" my mum said looking at my pyjamas and plate of waffles in my hand. " no mum don't worry it's fine I was just getting breakfast how-" I didn't get to finish my sentence because as soon as I mentioned breakfast Dylan shouted "food" and ran to the kitchen Interrupting me.
My mum and I just laughed at him "anyway as I was saying how was work"? I asked my mum still shovelling chocolate waffles in my mouth, it was fine sweetheart their were a few more patients than usual but apart from that it was good" she replied.
My mum was nurse at the local hospital and she worked from 6 pm to 6am (12 hour night shifts) we were still standing on the porch when Dylan called to us to come in and get the food while it lasted.
So we did just that.
Sorry this chapter was so short I promise the next ones are going to be way longer I just wanted to give you guys a idea of what this book was like.
So how do you guys like Dylan? I got my inspiration for him from my husband 'Dylan O'Brien' of course and also 'Robbie Amell' can you see the similarities my character Dylan has Robbie's smile/smirk and good looks + body and has Dylan O'Brien's hair and love for food and a cross between both their personalities you know kind hearted sweet generous witty sarcastic and flirty but anyways I hoped use all enjoyed the first chapter now go read the next the next one I promise it will be good😽
