Justice's P.O.V. l
I almost fell running home. People gave me weird looks but I didn't care! Dad would be home soon! That's why she was acting all joyful!
As soon as I looked up and saw my apartment building, I looked back forwards and ran straight into a boy and was knocked back so hard I could barely breath.
"Oh my god, sorry," I hear a man's voice say. I also see a hand reaching out for me. I grab it.
Must. Apologize. "Sir, I am so so sorry."
"Hey no need to be sorry, I'm not the one who fell," he replied chuckling and lifting me up. He had this deep voice and Australian accent.
I looked into his eyes. He had the most prettiest eyes. Honestly, I think we're having a moment.
"Are you all right?" he asks taking me out of my trance.
"Yeah I'm fine," I break the eye contact.
"What's your name?"
"Uh Justice." I reply quickly. This boy is EXTREMELY good looking. Even with a lip piercing. My parents would kill me if I even thought about getting any kind of piercing. Well except my ears haha. He had this gorgeous blonde hair and cute smile.
"That's a unique name. I've never heard of a girl named Justice. Oh! You're probably wondering who I might be. I'm Luke. Luke Hemmings." He holds out his hand for me to shake.
I shake his hand rubbing my head where it hurt.
"Well, I need to get home! Sorry for running into you and thank you!!" I say grabbing my bag and drink and jogging away again.
"Anytime!" I hear him yell to me.
I've never seen this guy before? He doesn't go to my school? He's probably graduated or something because I've never even heard his name. Or he possibly just moved here. Okay why do I care? I won't ever see him again.. I just laugh to myself.
I reach my building but Doug, the doorman, stopped me in my tracks with his hand in front of me.
"Justice could you slow down please?" he asked politely.
"Oh, good idea!" I reply panting.
"If you don't mind me asking why are you in such a rush?" he asked.
"Oh, my dad is supposed to be home soon! And I haven't seen him in a while.
"Oh then go right ahead!" he motions towards the doors and winks.
"Thanks!" I walk quickly inside and go straight to the elevators. I push the up button and wait. I'm soooo jittery. Why would Mom not tell me? A surprise for Dyl and I? That's actually really sweet.
The elevator arrives quicker than I expected and people walk out of it. I enter and click the 40th floor. I should text Taylor to tell her.
Me: DAD'S COMING HOME
Taylor: Yes, you told me.
Me: Aren't you excited??
Taylor: Ofc! I ❤️ your dad!!!
Me: I'll try and FaceTime you later tonight okay?
Taylor; Okay, tell your dad I said hey!! ❤️❤️❤️
I seriously can't stop smiling. I tried to while looking into the mirror in the elevator but I can't!
The elevator finally gets to my floor and opens.
Silence.
How odd. There's usually a T.V. or something playing. As I walk in I check out the place. There's no one to be found.
What the hell?
"Hellooooo?" I yell cupping my hands around my mouth.
Guess I'll just go to my room. But seriously, where is everyone? Is mom out running errands? Did Dylan go over to a friend's? I mean I know Dad's not here.
My door's shut...? Did I even leave my door shut when I left? Why would I do that, I never do that. Something's going on...
I turn the knob slowly and I open the door very fast.
"SURPRISE!"
I see Dylan and Mom both standing in my room huddled around..."Dad?!"
"Yes, I'm home sweetheart!"
He runs up to me giving me a big near hug. "I missed you so much Dad."
"I know. And I missed you too. I'm going to be home for a while."
I take my head off his shoulder, "Really?! That's fantastic!!!"
"I've missed being with my family," he says as Dylan and Mom come up as we all group hug.
I let go and back up, "Are you still throwing that party tomorrow?"
"Of course I am!" Dad says to me smiling.
I have the most perfect dress just for this occasion.
