Expecting The Now Unexpected

Chapter 11

Megan's P.O.V.

  What had I gotten myself into? I made a note to myself to thank my friends for giving me the idea of cancelling the plan and make sure they hear every drop of my sracasm. Uuh!  What am I gonna do? I looked at my wristwatch to find myself 2 minutes late for next class. I hurried down the hallway to my class and entered it only to find no teacher and chatting students. I sighed and went to sit on my seat. I brought out my book and started reading where I left it. 40 minutes has already passed and I guessed that the teacher doesn't plan on showing up so I just shrugged and continued reading. The bell rang and I stood up from my seat to the door. Once I was outside, I went to my locker and put my stuff in then got what I needed and headed for next class.

 What is up with teachers not showing up? Why didn't they just cancel our afternoon session anyways?  Tss..   I heaved a sigh and went to my locker silently. Now that you mention it.. I haven't seen anyone in the gang since lunch.. I sighed again. Once I reached my locker, I opened it and put my stuff inside then got my waveboard out and went to the school's exit. I looked around and saw students going home. I felt my phone buzz signalling for a message. I quickly got it and read the message. It was from Gracie.

Megan, don't wait for us. We received detention for ganging up on Aaron. If you're saying 'I was there wasn't I?', well no, we cornered him after lunch and a teacher kinda saw us, so go home safely :) -G 

I sighed and shook my head, instead of wave boarding home, I just walkeduntil I reached home. Jason was already infront of the door when I opened it. He had his arms crossed and his eyes closed. He sighed then looked at me.

"W-What?" I asked nervously

"Why didn't you tell me you had a stalker?" He said softly. My eyes widen. Who told him? I was so sure I didn't tell him.

"Uhh.. What are you talking about?" I asked him more nervously

"And I also heard you cancelled your date with Heath?" He said raising an eyebrow

"But-" I whined but he cut me off

"Sis, he was just busy two days ago that's why he wasn't able to have your date yet. Please understand.." Yeah, two days ago, Friday. Ugh!

"It's not because of that.." I told him walking past him and going straight to the stairs

"Then why?" He suddenly asked me as I stopped on my tracks

"It's just that..." I mumbled turning to him. I sighed and continued. "I'm scared..."

"About what?" He asked softly

"Jessica sure is a strong person, isn't she?" I looked at him with a sad smile on my face. His eyes widen and I continued "She's been through a lot of stuff in the past but she still stood her ground... But she's also built a wall between her emotions.. Now she's not the same..." I muttered  and started the steps of the stairs

"Megan..Give the guy a chance... I promise, he won't so anything to you to go through what Jessica had gone through" He promised

"Wouldn't it be unfair for Jessica?" I asked him not turning arouind

"What's done is done, Megan. There's always a solution to every problem. I'm sure Jessica's has" He said and I just shook my head

"A girl's trust is hard to earn...but once you've earned it and broke it, it will be harder to earn it again. But not impossible. That's why I cancelled the date." Was all I said as I continued to walk staraight to my room. Was that really the reason why I cancelled the date?

I heaved out a sigh and jumped on my bed flat on my stomach. I was keep on thinking about what had happened in the past when I didn't realize my eyelid becoming heavy and darkness slowly consumed me. I fell asleep having a dream of the past.

I'm kind of am in a hurry since my dad just arrived from out of town and all. :D
