I kept looking into Jessica's eyes, loving every second of this. Even though I've always had a crush on her, she was Ben's girlfriend ( he would kill me if he knew). And she didn't know that I had a crush on her, so what was I supposed to do? She gave me a hug and walked past me. "Remember," she said. "Control your anger." I turned back around but only to run into the principal. "I see you have a little 'friend'." he said. I hated Mr. Rack. Such a stupid last name, too. "She's just my fri-" I started to say. But Mr. Rack cut me off. "No I understand completely." he said. He handed me a pink slip with my name on it and a reason. "Detention." he said. I look him straight in his eyes. "For what?!" I said. He took the pink slip out of my hand and wrote something more on it. "Read the slip and you'll know." he said. He handed me back the slip and walked off. I took a look at the slip. It said "Detention for inappropiate show of affection and disrespectfulness and sassy back-talk."

Once I got into class, I threw my bookbag on the floor and plopped down in my desk. If you could look in my face, I would have probably punched you in the face. Even if you were  my mom, I would have punched you. I put my head on my desk and started to mumble under my breath. "Bryson?" Jessica said. I looked up to see her turned around in her desk, looking at me. I looked into her eyes, which made me calm down again. God, I loved it when she did that. Her hazel eyes were so beautiful. They twinlked and made me happy. I wished she wasn't with Ben. "Well," I said. " Mr. Wack gave me detention for hugging you in the hallway," I showed her the pink slip. "It has inappropiate show of affection, disrespectfulness, and "sassy" back-talk." She looked at me again. "Well how come he didn't give me detention?" she asked. Suddenly the intercome came to life. "Will Jessica Johnson please come to the office at this moment? Jessica Johnson." Then it cut off. I could tell it was Mr. Rack's scrappy voice on the other side. "Oh well," Jessica said. "Guess I'll see you in detention." She got up and grabbed her things and walked to the office.

It was nearing the end of school when I finally noticed Jessica hadn't come back yet. So I started to think the worst. "Oh God," I thought. "I hope this isn't my fault. I hope she'll come back. What would Ben do if she didn't come back? Its not like I ever cared about Ben in the first place. But I love Jessica...I'm sure she's fine." I thought. I went back to playing basketball in gym class.

At the end of the day, I went to the detention room and saw Ben and a couple of other guys and like 4 or 5 girls. But Jessica wasn't among any of them. Where was she?
