I sat down in a vacant desk beside Ben. "Psssst," I said. "Where's your girlfriend?" He didn't answer. "Psssst," I said once again. "Where's Jessica?" He looked at me with an evil eye. "Why huh?" he asked. "Why so you can steal her from me or something? Bruh, I'm tired of you touchin my girl. Jessica is mines and will forever by mines. I care about her and her feelings." I looked at him and squinted. "So," I said. "Why don't you care about where she is right now? Why don't you go look for her?" "Because I know Jessica. I know that she's probably just skipping detention and waiting for me to try and ditch it, too. Probably sitting on the bleachers waiting for me." I looked down. I knew Jessica, too. And I know that she doesn't like to get into trouble. So why would she skip detention? That can't be the answer. Suddenly the monitor of detention told us to shut up. It was Miss Mitchell, another teacher I personally hate. Her raspy voice just gets on my nerves and the facial expressions she makes to every student makes her look like she gets botox every day. As she started calling roll, I looked around at the classroom. It was so dusty and stratched up. As if a lot of cowboys had detention everyday and came here with their boots and horses. The tile was a dirty brown color and the walls had a leak inside of them so water had gotten between the cracks and stained the wall with a shitty looking brown color. The desks were probably the cleanest thing they had in here, even though they weren't a sight for sore eyes. God our school was in need of money. "Bry--." Miss Mitchell said before I cut her off. "Yeah, I'm here." I said depressingly. "May I use the bathroom?" "You have ten minutes." I walked outside and took a right turn going towards the office. I actually did have to piss but only after I found Jessica.
I walked to the office front door only to find it was locked. I began to look around on the floor. Then I found 2 bobby pins. I picked both up and straightened them into a straight pin. I then stuck one inside of the doorknob and twisted it until I heard a "click" . Then I slowly opened up the door into the office. It was dark, as if everybody had gone home to enjoy their summer. I walked around in the office until I came to a door that had a sign on it which said "Employees only." I rpped the sign off and saw a small window about the side of the cover of a textbook. I looked through it only to see a dark, long corridor. I unlocked that door with the bobby pin and opened the door silently. I then tip-toed down the corridor to see 2 guards gurading a cell door. Like one of the doors from solitary. I silently slipped into another hallway which blocked the guards from seeing me. I held my breath and took a peek around the corner. I could see another hallway across from where I was. I slithered over to that one. Then I took another peek around the corner. I could still see the guards. Both were holding slingshots....I guess not to really hurt any student bad if they tried to escape. Then, I took the other bobby pin out of my pocket and threw it away from me. It made a tink sound and I could tell the guards had heard it. "What was that?" one asked. "I don't know," the other replied. "Let's go check it out though." They walked far enough away to where I ran up to the cell and unlocked the door. The door slid open silently. I could see Jessica.
She had been hand-cuffed to her bed frame which was mounted into the floor, therefore, she couldn't move. I rushed over to her and held her head up and brushed her hair back. She had a hand print in her face. "Are you ok?" I asked her. "Yeah, but I would be even better if you unlocked these cuffs." she said. I smiled and unlocked the cuffs. I had to help her to her feet until she could walk by herself again. "Thanks Bryson...for everything." she said. She gave me a hug and a kiss on the lips. I had to pull her away though. "What about Ben?" I asked. "He's been cheating with that girl, Macy." she said. "So at this point....oh just kiss me you fool." I kissed her passionately and led her back through the corridor. I had made sure to lock the cell door back up before we left. I can't belive Ben. That stupid son of a bitch probably lost the best girl in the universe. But now, it's my turn.
