Nick's POV :

I ran my hands all around my wardrobe finding nothing to wear. I frowned at myself. Then suddenly, it hit my head. I'd a black shirt and I could wear grey pants with it. Rose indeed loves black. And she always says I look awesome in black. So I took those out and wore them. I perfumed and combed my hair with my fingers. I never use combs. That's weird I know. But, I hate combs. I let the first two buttons loose along with the collar ones and looked in the mirror. Yes! I look perfect.

I ran down the stairs waiting there, just when I saw Nora and Aron coming with someone behind. I couldn't see who. They smiled at my impatient stare and moved away. My eyes widened and my jaw dropped. I came out from my stupid phase when Aron nudged me only chest. Rose was blushing hard which made her so tempting.

Shut your stupid thoughts, Nick. Let her decide.

I felt the little velvet box inside my pockets. I felt even more nervous as the needles ran in circles. But I managed to smile and put out a hand out to her. She held my hand and I took her to my car, a sleek black Porsche.

We reached the restaurant after half an hour drive. We got inside and I could feel Rose getting uncomfortable.

"Don't feel nervous. No one's staring you. And besides, this is not our place." I whispered in her ear. I led her towards the back of the restaurant, where there were artificial fountains and springs. The place was open and the sky was clear with a lots of stars and a big moon shining at us. There was a round table with a candle in middle and two chairs opposite to each other. The place was so simple but luxurious too. I held her hand and led her to the table. A soft music was playing in the background and I saw a Rose who hums to the song.

Rose's POV :

The place looked amazing and I was getting nervous. A small chill crept on my spine as I felt that everyone was staring at me. Nick was right, I knew, no one stared at me. They've pretty much other important work, but still I felt eyes watching me.

We sat on the chair and a waiter came to us with a notepad in his hand. Nick ordered for both of us and also asked him to bring us a bottle of red wine. The guy nodded his head and walked away. I looked at Nick who happened to be more nervous than ever on this date. He forced a smile at me and I smiled back not knowing what to do.

I listened to the songs played and hummed softly and a little while later, the waiter came with a big bottle and two wine glasses. He was followed by another waiter who came with two small plates with a piece of cake in each of them. The guy who followed our waiter kept it before us. The waiter told us that the food will be delayed cause of some problems and asked us to have the cake before it. Then they vanished behind the doors.

Nick poured us the wine, to which the waiter had gave us after taking the cork away. Nick smiled at me as he poured and then took a sip. I smiled back and took a sip as he did, imitating him. Then he went to that cake and I too thought to dig in the cake. I took out the fork and took a piece of the red velvet cake and ate it. It was so tasty. Suddenly, my eyes spot something shining in them. I sub into it by eating away the barriers. A ring! A freaking diamond ring!

I looked at Nick, who was getting even more nervous. He didn't let me open my mouth, instead, he swiftly came to my seat, took the ring and bent on one knee. He let out the diamond ring towards me.

"I know it's too early, but I made up my mind. I can't live without you. You're my better half. Rose, will you marry me?" He said softly, but nervously too. I was shocked and fell numb.
