Chapter 4:
Beep, beep, beep. I tapped on the alarm clock at my side table as I groaned and tried to open my eyes. It opened so slowly, as if it actually didn’t want to wake up, which was what I actually wanted to do, not wake up. I mean God! It was what, a--- okay I don’t know the date of today, nor the day.
Buzz. Buzz. I searched around the bed for my phone that was currently vibrating around, acting like a freaking annoying alarm clock. My eyes locked on the lit screen on my table. How did that get there? I asked myself.
‘Hey, morning, hope I see you today. XD –Walter-‘ Walter? Early in the morning? How the hell did he get my freaking phone number? Did he seriously rob me yesterday, because practically when I went home I didn’t remember a thing anymore that happened after I spent the afternoon with him walking back home.
‘HOW THE HELL DID YOU GET MY NUMBER?! ASSHOLE!’ I sent and threw my phone on my bed as I got some clothes and went to the bath room for a quick early morning shower.
Buzz. Buzz. “Gawd! What a jackal!” I yelled.
“What’s wrong baby sis?” Baxter asked.
“Oh hey,” I said as I went towards him and gave him a quick kiss on the cheek. “I thought you’d be at work now, duffus.” I smiled at him.
“I am supposed to be at work, but seeing about how moody you were this whole week about the new move and stuff, I was just wondering and thinking maybe my baby sis would like a ride to her new school?” he asked putting his hands at the sides as if he was like ‘ya know?’. “So how is the new school?” he gave me a questioning look. “Last time I saw you, you looked like this.” He said putting on his angry face, “then now, you’re like this.” He put on my sad face.
“Hey! Hey! Hey! I do not do that when I’m angry or sad, you do that, duffus. And hell, I would not look as icky as that, seriously you look like your going through constipation with that face of yours god damn it!”
“Hey, hey, hey! Cursing much? You know mom and d—“ He looked at me as if he made a mistake of saying them. “Hey, I’m so, so, so, super, sor—“
“It’s really fine, I mean I’m used to it right? And don’t they think of it all the time, I mean… At least no one gets to tease me here for being well…”
“Hey, I’m so sorry…” he said embracing me tightly into his warm and muscular arms. “I’m sorry.” He mumbled.
“Oh hey guys, early lovey dovey morning?” Hailey asked as she caressed my brother’s shoulders and down to his waist. “Morning.” She kissed him in his lips and smiled at the feel of them. “Morning Rose, how are you feeling this morning?” she asked.
“Quite fine actually, I guess better than yesterday…”
“Is it because of that boy who brought you home yesterday?” she asked, her cheeks blushing as she looked at my brother, and then my brother gave her a questioning look, ‘what the hell are you talking about?’ he was asking as he faced me and then Hailey back again. “I mean, since like the whole week I’ve never seen you happy at all, the only face I’ve been seeing for weeks is this.” She made her sad face and my brother laughed at her as my brother touched her nose and she looked at the side. “Shut up! As if you made a better mockery of her? You be the judge Rose, who did better with your face?”
“I did.” A familiar male voice came out of the blue. We all turned around, and there on the stairs was Walter in a cotton green shirt pressed tightly on his body, with dark jeans hanging low on his waist.
“Walter?” I asked questioningly. “What are you doing here?” Hailey looked at me and smiled at me, “I’ll go prepare breakfast.” She said and hurriedly went down as she pulled my brother downstairs giving me and Walter a little bit of privacy. “What are you doing here?” I asked again, my voice sounding much more serious than a while ago when I was laughing at my brother and Hailey.
