Chapter 3:

Walter did not stop walking, like he literally did not stop walking, when I was hoping he was about to stop because he was picking up some groceries at a nearby store, he then starts walking again going to another store.

"What the hell!" I cursed. What was he doing? Christmas shopping? Because if he is, September would be too early for that. He got out of the shop he went into and then hurriedly ran into an old apartment right down the street. He smiled as he buzzed the buzzer.

I groaned, was he shopping for his girlfriend? Or family? Oh gawd, maybe his grandma! Crap! I waited for a couple of minutes and then he headed out grinning. He turned to the side, and then when he did his eyes turned and turned until it spotted me. I tried hiding myself more in his view as I lowered myself at the car I hid my body with.

"What are you doing here?" he asked as he came at the back of me. Uh oh, busted!

"Nothing," I squeezed my stomach for a while and then I stood up and smiled at him. "Nothing at all, I was just well, passing by." I smiled at him. He looked at me awkwardly as if I was hiding something, which I was. "I-I mean, w-w-what are you doing here?" I asked, trying to change the topic and putting it to him, to get everything over with, I mean I wanted to know where he was going right, might as well ask him.

"Um," he scratched his head and then gave me that flawless smile. "I kind of just stopped by too, I mean the neighborhood. So..." he asked. "Do you have plans tonight?" he asked.

"Um, no, I guess not, why?" I asked curiously, looking all over his face. His brown hair flowing down his heart shaped face, over his warm and twinkling green eyes. His gaze staring back at my chocolate brown eyes. His cheeks which were glowing a little bit redder than his usual rosy cheek. Then when I went down to his body, he looked just like a freaking God out of the Olympia. He had a white cotton shirt clung to his body, exposing some of his chiseld chest and abs. OH my god! Abs!!! Shit! When I went down his jeans were now clearly on his waist as it did not droop down any more. "You got a belt now?" I asked.

"Excuse me?" he asked. I pointed at his jeans. "Oh, yeah, Sandy told me that I should buy one so that no other girl could see my ass, or maybe my boxers, I forgot what she said, but I guess it started like that. I've got no clue at all." he said and smiled that flawless smile at me.

"So... I gotta go anyway, nice seeing you then." I saluted at him and started to walk away.

"Rosie!" he yelled. I turned around and looked at him. "When did you know my name, Walter?" I asked.

"I'd like to know when and how the hell you knew mines too." he laughed.

"I guess I'm keeping that a secret for now." I grinned at him as he came towards me. "You going home too?" I asked as I shivered a little from the cold autumn breeze.

"Nope, I was checking out if you wanted me to actually bring you home." he smiled and scratched his brown hair again.

"You really think I'm going to make you walk me home, Walter?" I asked him, he nodded. " Give me one good reason why you can walk me home?"

"Only one?" he asked. "Fine, easy as pie. Because this neighborhood and the next one and probably the one after that is not safe when your alone, and especially since your a girl, you know all the bad boys will come and get you and all." he joked and gave a little nudge to my shoulder.

"What makes you think I can't kick those bad boy's asses? Maybe if they did come, ma-may-be I might get to kick their asshole butts much better than a real boy can?" I challenged.

"Are you challenging me Rosie Black well?" he asked raising his left eyebrow at me.

"Maybe." I said. "I mean we never know unless I get to try it right?" I asked. "Fine if your so cocky confident that you can save me!" I said pretending I was fainting and falling, but before I could crash to the ground he was there by my side and caressing my shoulder and pulling me tightly to him before I could crash on the ground.

"You should be careful there." he said. "Maybe the next thing you know your going to have serious trouble of actually getting up later on." he said and gave me a huge grin. I just stared at his eyes, not noticing that we were inches apart and that our noses were touching. It send tingles through my body to be this close with him.

"Woah! Hey there little boy, I don't think you should be that close to me if you have a girlfriend right?" I asked.

"Maybe she's not my girlfriend?" he asks. "What would you do about it?"  he asked and came nearly to my ear. "Much more, how would you react to it?" he whispered.

I pushed him off me immediately and started pacing forward towards my home as I kept fixing my bag over my shoulder. "Hey!" he said as he catched up after a while, panting breaths as he looked at me and eyed my bag.

"What the hell are you thinking? Are you going to mug me, because I could definitely take you on right now, with my mood I could definitely kick you off to the Statue of Liberty right now, if that's what you'd like so that your pretend to be girlfriend would leave you off." I smirked. "Or are you going to steal my bag from me so that you can keep all my makeup to yourself because you can't afford to buy one because of your image right?" I said as I looked at him with curious eyes.

"Nope, not at all, none of that was even close to my answer." he said as he came by my side. I felt my shoulder droop down from the lost weight. OMG! WHERE'S MY BAG!!!? I kept turning around, looking angrily at the person who took it. And then my eyes laid on what Walter was carrying. "Thought you'd notice sooner or later little girl, your such a trudged up little woman." he chuckled. For some reason, I should have been angry, but for an odd reason, I was smiling a little in the inside and blushing like hell. "Your pretty slow for someone who thinks she has major skills in kicking ass. Well first lesson little girl, you better watch your back at all times." he said. I looked at his side, then he was gone. W-what the-- "Looking for me?" he asked as he turned up on my other side. "And as I said, never look down, think fast, what do you think? Where do you think the guy is going to turn up next when he doesn't want his ass found right?" he grinned. "Definitely not near you though, except I'm not the bad guy here remember?" he asked.

"Yeah, guess your not then." I shrugged my arms.

"You cold?" he asked, as a small breeze came by us, making me shiver a little. "Here," he said getting his coat out of his thin yet muscled arms as he placed it over my shoulders. "Much better?" he asked as he looked at me and smiled.

"Yeah, guess so." I smiled at him and then I looked back down.

"So, you up for my offer of walking you home then?" he asked.

And for the first time in ages, I didn't argue with this boy with green eyes next to me, I didn't hit him, I didn't react. Instead I just gave him a small nod, and he entwined his fingers with mines. I was on my way home.
