I stood in the lobby of the hotel. It was filled with people and other worldly beings. I had already paid for my room, and I was just waiting for the man at the front desk to give me my key card.
"Ms. Barns, you have the "Golden Access Card", which allows you to everything except for Sector 17 of the Western wing of the hotel." The man said with a smile, handing me my key card. "What is in sector 17?" I asked, accepting the card. "Um... Staff only.." He muttered, sounding annoyed. "Right, yes. Thank you!" I cried, hurrying off to my room. Floor 3, room 19.

As I got off the elevator onto floor 3, a cow ran past me.
"What the--" I started as it ran past. "No, Betsy, wait!!" A short grey alien creature chased the cow," Come back!!" Well... I guess you could have whatever pet you wanted here, including a cow...
I walked down the hall and found my room, Room 19. I stuck the key card into the slot, and it beeped. The door unlocked and I stepped in.
The floor was a dark blue carpet, the walls were cream colored, the bed had light pink floral sheets, a small closet, and a bathroom. It was nice. I walked over to my bed and started to unpack my clothes. I put them in the closet, and two items remained on my bed: my laptop and my stuffed elephant plushy. I walked over to my bed and picked it up. Memories of my parents started coming back, and I threw it down. My parents died in an asteroid strike, and this elephant was the only thing I had left of them. Tears started coming to my eyes, but I didn't wipe them away. I just... stared off into the distance, thinking...
