There was a knock on the door, which brought me back to reality. I wiped my eyes and got up to the door. When I opened it, a man stood in front of me.
"Hello there." He said softly, smiling. I looked down at his attire: an old-fashioned aviator's hat with goggles, he had glasses, blue eyes, blond hair (by the looks of it), and an old pilot's uniform. "H-hello?" I answered back after observing him. "I'm with the hotel's welcoming committee. So, welcome to Hotel Denken!" He said happily," I'm Sloth." "Sloth? That's not really a name..." I told him," But I'm Aquila Barns." "That's just what they call me. I'm Jamie van Haeften." Sloth admitted," But just call me Sloth, o-or Jamie, if you'd like." He blushed, "Have you had a tour of the hotel yet, Ms. Barns?"
I shook my head, "Not yet."
"I can give your the tour, if you'd like." Sloth offered. "I'd like that." I told him. He gave me a friendly smile," Great! Follow me." He started walking down the hall. "Wait, I need my key card." I called, running into my room to get it off the coffee table. I locked my room and followed Sloth down the hallway.

I now knew where the Food Court, dance hall, library, and activities area were, thanks to Sloth.
"And this is the garden." Sloth opened a door at the end of a long corridor, and we stood in a meadow looking landscape. "It's beautiful!" I cried. A butterfly fluttered past us. The there was a rustling sound. "What's that?!" I yelped, looking at Sloth. "It sound like it's coming from the Kahuna berries...." Sloth pointed a several bushes with purple berries. He slowly creeped to them, and I followed.
"Oh! It's just a Flugelhuff!" He sighed with relief. He lifted the bushed up to show me the creature. The 'Flugelhuff' looked like a small grey rabbit with purple spots dappled on it's back and mint colored wings. It squeaked at us and flew away. "Are Flugelhuffs like rabbits?" I asked Sloth. "Well, I guess you could say so. Apart from flying, rabbits and Flugelhuffs are the same, basically.." He explained. He glanced at his watch," Oh it's my lunch break..." "Oh. Well, thank you for the tour!" I told him. "W-would you like to come? I can buy you something, if you'd like." He offered. "You want to bring me along?" I questioned," Are you sure you wouldn't want to use your break doing something else?"
"Well, I mean. You're new, and I haven't finished the tour yet, so buying lunch for you is the least I can do." Sloth told me. We made our way to the Food Court. "Thank you, Jamie. You're so nice!" I complemented him. "No one ever told me that before... Thank you." Jamie returned.
